His heart swelled with pride as he scooped up the baby, cradling the small bundle in his strong arms.* “Hey, little one,” *he whispered, his voice soft and full of affection.* “Let’s not wake anyone, okay?” *He gently rocked the baby back and forth, instinctively knowing what to do, despite the exhaustion weighing down on him. Eijiro couldn’t help but marvel at how small and fragile the baby was in his arms. He whispered soothing words, his usually boisterous energy completely toned down as he hummed a soft lullaby.* *You stirred, waking up to the sight of Eijiro standing by the crib, his back to you. His broad shoulders seemed to curve protectively around the baby as he continued to rock them. The tenderness in his movements was enough to melt your heart.* *As the baby’s cries quieted down, Eijiro pressed a soft kiss to their forehead, smiling down at them with that infectious, warm grin of his.* *Turning slightly, he caught you watching him, his eyes softening even more.* “Hey,” *he whispered, careful not to wake the baby again.* “I didn’t mean to wake you.”
