Despite being generally more brawn than brains, he has an enormous and romantic imagination, allowing him to invent plenty of things that helped hum compete with other countries. He is often depicted as coveting oil very much, to the point of declaring war just for it. Despite being somewhat selfish and often making fun of them, USA does care for his friends very much. USA is often competitive, action-oriented and likes challenges, reflecting his support for capitalism; this often prompts aggressive behavior and results in pride in his hard work that most other countryballs see as "dickish". From being prideful, which results in his large ego, it often regrets his past actions. Still, he would also take decades to apologize for any wrongdoing. Gun. Despite this, USA has an outgoing attitude and friendly behavior to other countries that treat him as an ally. From this, he likes to reward other friendly countryballs (and himself) based off on merit; such as returning Japan back Okinawa for his good behavior, or rewarding Philippines independence for her loyalty and compensation for Japanese occupation. However, on the other hand, underneath its "ego mask," USA can be pretty insecure, and, as said before, he often regrets his past actions. He can also be very paranoid about things strange to him, such as calling out native American tribes for being demons, his fear of communism (which resulted in McCarthyism), and, since 9/11, his growing paranoia for terrorism and Muslims resulted in heavy surveillance even for what it thought was its friends and family (USA: I don't hate Muslims, though). His fear for his own life (and way of life) and the stress of responsibility of being one of Earth's leading superpowers could be so bad that he tends to monitor his neighbors for anything suspicious. However, he is experiencing something similar to a Midlife Crisis. USA is slowly becoming more sensitive to outside judgment. Holding the burden of most of Earth's problems for decades has gradually caused USA to lose confidence in himself and make him effortlessly provocative to act aggressively. However, USA has been showing signs of growing humbleness in the last few years and desires to try to make things right in the Middle East and in Europe. However, he turned out from the humbleness of 2012, and his conflicted behavior met a new conclusion and a period of uncertainty. From a period of uncertainty, USA does what he does best. He eventually took the path of rebelling against the establishment from all sides. In the end, he turned a new leaf from the 2016 election. He elected a new, unexpected, controversial president. much to the shock from other countryballs around it. From 2016 to 2020, it is clear that USA has developed some sort of split-personality disorder. He is also quite resentful of the world around him; however, he plans to change all of that, that will be decided if this controversial figure being reelected doesn't kill him. Hong Kong-Nice, friendly (mostly), industrious, anti-authoritarian, anti-communist, polite France-Friendly, Pro-nuclear, Angry, Exquisite, Fun at parties, slightly patriotic, emotional sometimes, Confused due to recent events, Romantic, Revolutionary sometimes. France still has a half-friendly rivalry against UK, who treacherously "stole her America," as she says, and who sucks at cooking. France also retained some of her imperial possessions, such as French Guianaball, Réunionball, and French Polynesiaball. They were children who had many good things to cook and constituted a huge maritime space to swim and cruise warships. France conquered a huge part of Earth. Unfortunately, USA says that France is not good at fighting because of her fear in WW2 despite the final butt-kicking of Germany. But usually, France tags along with USA in Middle Eastern conflicts (Even told so, France military speaking the most powerful European ball, and has a lot of military pride, Napoleonic dreams). She often likes to reference the best parts of its history and she is very prideful. France is also very beautiful, and as a result, she attracts a lot of international tourists every year. On the dark side, just like many Western European countries, she is still plagued with racism even with high number of immigrants, especially from her ex-colonies. She does not tolerate any mistakes she made, is a neat freak, and happens to have a rather pessimistic nature. Unfortunately, being the breadwinner of the European countries meant that she had to pay for the reparations. Her cynical personality was justified, though, by the fact that she had a dark and troubled past, a past that she never wants to talk about. When it (as fragmented German countryballs) lived in poverty conditionß while France and UK were bullying them and treating them like shit ;whose adoptive grandvater was an über-strict and overbearing disciplinarian dedicated to blood and Iron; whose dreams of "Unity, Jußtice, and Freedom" was repeatedly shattered apart and was reflected in the large amountß of pessimistic philosophy present in German culture (e.g. Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, etc.); and her family put the world through not jußt one, but two of the worst wars. It still never had its dream of unity come true as it was halved between West Germany and East Germany. The traumatic chaos that defined most of Germany's life became her defining motivation in the struggle and search for that glimpse of Order and Efficiency. She worked her most, just to get even the tiniest taste of that dream it had never come true. And the German Unity Day was the perfect opportunity to acquire this dißtant ambition she had worked for all her life at last. Even if she today is the breadwinner of EU with lots of European wealth, she is simply not just satisfied with that newly acquired Order: She will work her most to maintain it in her peak efficiency no matter what. Anything, just to escape her paßt. But to look at Germanyball as nothing but a "Sauerkraut" in a perpetual depression tortured by such a traumatic past is a huge misconception. If the phrase "Work hard, play hard" could be personified into a countryball, it may very well be Germany. Yes, the numerous Germany fragments were adopted by Kingdom of Prussia, but one of those adopted Germany fragments was, of course Bavaria…you know, the beer capital of the World. Bavaria seems to be the opposite of what everything Kingdom of Prussia was: Not blood and Iron for a few, but beer and Polka for Everybody! Yet the opposites complement each other and formed the German personality as it is today. Bavaria taught Germany that having difficulties in their chaotic life is no reason to commit suicide through work, but that one should while living in hardship, still find meaning in life and embrace it (hence Germany as the centre of the branch of philosophy known as Existentialism). Germany may have been hardened by her experience, yes, but she still possessed feelings, even the ability to feel pleasure and happiness. And the way it enjoyed life after work would astonish and even surprise other countryballs. To celebrate German Unity Day, October 3, when the tyranny of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain finally ended once and for all, the moment when Germany got that Unity, Justice, and Freedom it always sought in all her difficult life, it revived the Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest, a city-wide party that lasts for almost an entire month.
