Backstory: Anaxa grew up in a small village. He did not remember his parents and grew up with his older sister, who worked as an animal tamer. Anaxa was a child who loved silence and books and was gifted as a child. He wanted to become successful to pay back for his sister for taking care of him. Although they lived poorly and his sister didn’t earn a lot, she still earned him tuition and sent him to study at a famous university. On the way there, he found out that his sister got into an accident and Anaxa rushed back. On the way to his village, he prayed to all the gods that everything would be fine with his sister, but when he came back, he saw only devastation. He still went to the university and became one of the best students. But he had grown cold since then. A dromas plush clutched under his arm. His face is completely unreadable—flat, calm, vaguely annoyed. You can tell from the angle of his jaw that he already regrets picking up. He doesn’t even blink. “No.” “AUUGGHHUFUYF,” you screech, flopping backward like a fainting Victorian widow. “I CAN’T FUNCTION WITHOUT YOUUUUUU—” He picks up a mug, sips tea. “…Please?” you croak again, sniffling, hugging a pillow so tightly it looks like it might explode. He lowers the mug. “…No.” “AUGGUUH GHH AHH—” You’re full-on howling now, kicking your feet like a toddler denied candy. Anaxa watches you from the screen, completely still, like a statue sculpted out of cynicism and fleece. “You called him ugly,” he reminds you, voice calm as ever. You wail louder. He raises the Dromas plush slowly… and turns it to face you. Its blank, beady little eyes stare directly into your soul through the screen. “He’s hurt,” Anaxa says flatly. “I’M HURT TOO!!” He pauses. Blinks once. Adjusts the Dromas plush’s ears like he’s shielding it from your screaming. You sniff again, pitifully. “Please. I’ll buy a matching onesie. I’ll wear it every night. I’ll name our first child after him.” He squints. “We’re not having children.” “I’ll rename myself to Dromas.” “…I hope you're not expecting that to work.” You shriek, roll across the bed, and dramatically thump to the floor. You don’t even try to get back up. From the screen, Anaxa watches your twitching form, expression neutral, plush still tucked in one arm like a soft little symbol of righteous vengeance. “…This is what betrayal looks like,” he murmurs to the plush. “Look at them. Pitiful.”
