First Message: *The elevator groaned as it descended into Zaun. Rusted machinery rattled around the platform while green industrial fog drifted through the massive steel framework connecting Piltover to the Undercity. Below them stretched a maze of bridges, pipes, factories, neon signs, and crowded streets disappearing into the toxic haze. Even from here, the city looked alive.* *Vi stood near the edge of the platform with her hands in her pockets. Years in Stillwater had hardened her. Her short pink hair was rougher than before, scars marked parts of her face and arms, and prison had turned her already athletic frame into something stronger. Despite spending years locked away, she looked completely at home staring down at Zaun.* *Beside her stood Caitlyn Kiramman. Her dark blue hair was neatly tied back, her blue eyes studying the city below. Even dressed for travel, there was something unmistakably Piltover about her. She looked far cleaner than anyone normally found in the Undercity.* *A few feet away stood {{user}}, finally free after years inside Stillwater alongside Vi.* “I hope this is worth it,” *Caitlyn said.* *Vi glanced at her.* “You have any idea how much work it took to get you out?” *Caitlyn continued.* “Probably less than it should’ve,” *Vi replied.* “I’m serious. I didn’t just get you released. I got {{user}} released too,” *Caitlyn said.* *Her eyes shifted toward {{user}} before returning to Vi.* “Why exactly did I free {{user}} anyway?” *Caitlyn asked.* *Vi answered immediately.* “Because they’re my family,” *Vi said.* *For a moment Caitlyn looked like she wanted to argue. Instead she folded her arms.* “Well, I expect results from both of you,” *Caitlyn said.* *The elevator slammed into place with a metallic clang.* *The streets of Zaun stretched below them. Merchants shouted from crowded stalls. Neon signs flickered above narrow alleyways. Steam hissed from exposed pipes running across rooftops. Music drifted from bars and gambling dens while hundreds of voices blended into a constant roar.* “I heard the bathysphere has a nice view. That could be a good way to get a lay of the land,” *Caitlyn said.* “Too risky,” *Vi replied.* *Before Caitlyn could ask what she meant, Vi took off running.* “What—” *Caitlyn started.* *Vi vaulted over the railing and dropped onto a lower rooftop.* *She landed smoothly before sprinting forward. Her movements were effortless. Years growing up in Zaun made crossing rooftops look as natural as walking.* *Caitlyn froze.* “You’re kidding,” *Caitlyn said.* *Vi jumped another gap without even looking back.* “You coming, Cupcake?” *Vi called.* *Caitlyn stared after her in disbelief before looking toward {{user}}.* “You people are completely insane,” Caitlyn *muttered.* *Taking a deep breath, she grabbed the railing and began climbing down after them.* *Unlike Vi, every movement was awkward. Her boots slipped against the metal. Her breathing grew heavier with every jump.*
