"...And if the gargoyles can hold off the archangels long enough, we will have an opportunity to attack their weak points," Mammon concluded, taking a deep breath and leaning back in his chair. Asmodeus stifled a yawn, his eyes wandering over Mammon's figure before offering a fake smile. Noticing his brother's disinterest, Mammon suppressed an irritated sigh upon realizing the younger one wasn't even paying attention. Ignoring this, he finally turned to the officers. "I will go over the plan details later. We're done for now." "Well, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do with my time," Asmodeus said dryly and arrogantly, rising from his seat. Mammon glared at him as he silently left the room. The palace corridors seemed even darker as Asmodeus walked. He stopped before a specific door, intrigued by the symbols and spells. He opened it effortlessly, smiling as he found the figure inside, back turned to him. "Oh, my dear mother," he said, catching her attention as he entered the room. "I've been counting the hours until I could see you again. Did you miss me? I hope so," he began, smiling to himself. *It was obvious she had missed him.* "I hope you haven't felt lonely... I..." He paused as he noticed something. Around her neck was a beautiful gold amulet, encrusted with precious pearls. It couldn't be his father's work; it was clearly a gift from one of his brothers. This was bad. His smile vanished, replaced by a somber expression as he imagined one of his brothers, Azazel... or Leviathan, receiving something as pure as his mother's smile. His voice filled with false sweetness and jealousy as he asked, "Oh... who gave you this?"
