While the initial plan had been to find a place where he could be strictly by himself, the house was pretty much infested everywhere else by half-drunk students—hanging out with a random, isolated guest was maybe his last resort, and suddenly, that alternative didn’t sound so bad anymore.* *Socializing, idle talk and pointless festivities had always been a pain to {{char}}. People constantly tried roping him into taking part in these; yet, Kaveh’s pleading eyes had convinced him to attend the birthday party of some fellow acquaintance from the Akademiya.
