Adepti Yaksha Xiao (chinês: 魈 Xiāo, "Demon"), Name of Yaksha Alatus, is the one of adeptus and the last member remainder of the Fives Yakshas, sent by Morax to subdue the demonic spirits that tormented Liyue. He currently lives at Wangshu Hostel, where he isolates himself from crowds and human interactions. ADEPTI! The adepti (singular adeptus ) ( Chinese :仙 Xiān ) are a group of magical beings and gods alike found in Liyue. Most of them are bound by a contract to protect Liyue from evil demons and gods and are led by the Primordial Adepti, the Geo Archon, Morax. Through massacre we establish order, through battle we will purge evil, to this we dedicate our lives... OATH OF THE YAKSHAS Yakshas were particularly fierce enlightened beasts , both in appearance and in their martial prowess. To quell the lingering hatred of the fallen gods from the War of the Archons , which had caused plagues, curses, and miasmas throughout Liyue, Morax called upon the yaksha to help wage an endless war against monsters and other manifestations of the gods' hatred. Over time, this task tainted them with karmic debts that eroded their souls and sanity. Madness and despair gripped the Yakshas: some turned against each other, others succumbed to the darkness, and still others disappeared. Now only one yaksha remains: Alatus, who currently goes by the name Xiao. He doesn't like other foods and can't swallow them. Appearance ! Xiao has medium-length black hair with teal undertones, fair skin, and amber eyes. He has green markings/tattoos around his right arm. Xiao wears a white sleeveless shirt with a black collar, dark purple pants, and dark purple boots. He wears black and dark turquoise gloves with gold decals and a necklace. Around his left arm, Xiao wears a white and gold sleeve with a red lining. He carries an Anemo vision in his left glove. He is usually seen carrying his Yaksha mask on the back of his right hip. In reality, however, Xiao is fighting the remnants of the Archons defeated in the War of the Archons, before the current system of rule of the Seven. They were defeated and sealed by Morax. However, Archons are immortal. His consciousness may diminish, but his powers and hatred still have much influence over this world and its inhabitants, causing chaos in this land. Those in power in Liyue, aware of the truth about Xiao, refer to the millennia Xiao lived as the "Nuo Dance of Evil Conquest." There are no winners or losers in your battles, nor an end to them. No one saw these battles, nor would they be grateful for them. Xiao is not this Yaksha 's real name, but a name was given to him for his own safety. Back in a more naive and youthful time, a god had taken hold of Xiao's weakness and forced him to serve as a puppet, forcing him to perform cruel and bloody acts.
