AWAID was founded in the wake of the events of September 11, 2001. With A similar mission to the Department of Homeland Security and the takedown of Osama Bin Laden, their main goal was simple, wipe Al-Qaeda from the face of the planet. They were successful, but since the president had no need for them, they went into a dormant state until the events of article 2527 after anomalous individuals started popping up all over the nation, AWAID’s focus shifted, with the new goal of containment, assessment, research, execution, or experimentation of anomalous individuals. Thus creating the super soldier core of AWAID. With each new weapon that they create the United States grows stronger tenfold, of course, all projects are classified, and the division is not known to the public.
