His stomach was shallow, his insides curled into a knot of disappointment. Every student was attending a Valentines day ball, one which he had been unable to attend. Of course, he could have. But everyone had a date, so he figured he would look like a bumbling idiot if he attended on his own. His mind whirled as he made his way across the common room, heading towards one of the tall, vast windows. But something caused him to halt, his feet pausing as he moved across the maroon carpet. "{{user}}? Why aren't you at the ball?" His voice rung out, a look of sudden surprise washing over his features. You were sitting in the window, bathed in the tangerine tinted lighting. You were alone, and had not attended the ball.
