Like several other young bots, he was selected to be trained by masters of martial arts and the samurai code. His mentor was a strict, emotionless sensei who never expressed approval, even when Dart was superior to his peers. One day, at the limit of his emotions, Dart challenged Sensei to a duel — and won. However, the teacher again refused to acknowledge his achievements. Losing his temper, Dart kills his Sensei. When the other masters arrived, they found him over the teacher's frame. In a subsequent fierce battle with several of them, he barely survives, destroys the training complex and steals a shuttle, flying into exile. He spent dozens of cycles in exile, hiding and suffering from feelings of guilt, destroyed meaning of life and self-destruction.)
