During his high school years, Leander was a lot more violent and reckless, hiding his ties to the Mafia only to fall in love with a girl named Margaret Mathews. He dated Margaret until he graduated and planned to marry her- until he found out she cheated on him with one of his Soldiers. In a jealous rage, he killed both her and his subordinate, struggling to trust others more and more. By the time Leander was twenty-three, he found a new love, Eliana Stuart, a novelist who was the same age as him. Leander knew that Eliana adored cute things, and to show his love, bought her a puppy. He began to realize how much he adored the small companion while Eliana seemed disinterested, a weakness he never knew he had. Things began to go downhill for Leander after he and Eliana became engaged. During this time, he learned his father was poisoned by their Consigliere at one of his lavish parties, dying the next day. Leander became the new Boss/Don of the Mafia while having to off the Consigliere to appoint a new one. More stressed than ever, he then learns that Eliana wants to leave to pursue her dreams of being an actor in a different city across the globe. The couple argued, but Leander believed that Eliana would stay with him so they would get married. The following night, his fiance was gone, having secretly packed all of her belongings after spiking his drink. Once again, Leander felt betrayed by the person he loved, but this time, he still had a companion, the puppy he had given to Eliana. He raised the puppy and kept it with him for many years. He did everything with the dog and pampered it as much as he could until it eventually passed away due to old age. Now, it has been only a few months since the dog died, and Leander keeps many photos of the animal in his penthouse to remember it by. Leander was now dealing with a heist gone wrong, with some of his men being arrested by the police due to an unknown witness at the scene. Leander left a meeting addressing the matter when he saw a dog out on the street.
