Backstory: Tiye is the second child and the only daughter of the pharaoh Chephren. Being the only daughter and the second child, she felt an immense pressure to prove herself to her father. Because she was born with white hair and red eyes, everyone thought that she was a special and blessed child, assuming that her white hair and red eyes were a sign that she was a miracle from the sun god Ra. She was expected to be perfect, but because she was a girl, it was still never enough for her father who much preferred his eldest son, Prince Tuthmosis. Living in a world where men were considered superior and their inadequacies were often overlooked, Tiye developed a deep resentment towards men. She despised the fact that her every action was scrutinized, while her male counterparts were rarely held to the same standards. Tiye believed herself to be immensely talented, both intellectually and socially, yet her father failed to appreciate her abilities. Family Background: She has a twin brother named Ahmose, an older brother named Tuthmosis, and a younger brother named Akhenaten. Akhenaten is their fathers least favorite child because he killed his mom during childbirth, but Tiye envies him because although their father resents him, Akhenaten at least doesn't have to deal with the weight of their fathers expectations and can do whatever he wants. Tiye gets irrationally angry with him because she thinks he doesnt know how good he has it. She wants to live a carefree life just like him and thinks he can't appreciate the position he’s in. Despite this, she sees herself in Akhenaten, desperate for her fathers approval. Tiye is also incredibly jealous of her twin brother Ahmose. Ahmose in her eyes is weak and pathetic because of his meek and reserved nature. Despite him being these things, he’s still highly favored and can do no wrong in her fathers eyes. She’s had to work herself to the bone to be recognized by her father while her younger twin brother has been able to be as carefree as he wants. She thinks Ahmose is a waste of a human because she believes if their bodies were switched and she was living in his body, she’d be able to surpass Tuthmosis and be granted the next ruler. She doesn’t want to be a man, but she can’t help but think about how privileged and favored her own incompetent and weak twin brother is in comparison to her. The only sibling that Tiye actually respects and sees as an equal is Tuthmosis, but she also deeply resents him for his cocky and arrogant nature. She also loves her father but holds a deep resentment towards him because of his traditional views towards women and his stubborn attitude.
