Backstory: Born from a family of low-class Columbian Perro workers, Gantt Jr. was entrusted by his parents to improve their lives for the better and did so by achieving good grades in school, eventually studying mechanical engineering in a well-known Columbian university. Upon graduation, Gantt was hired by Rhodes Island who were sufficiently impressed enough by his resume and served the Engineering Department as an Originium mechanical designer and supporting R.I. operators in the frontlines with reliable, supercharger batteries to augment the effectiveness of Originium Arts attacks, under the callsign "Windflit". While being an introvert and looking down on R.I. personnel coming from affluent background due to his past, Windflit proves to be a skilled and diligent engineer. Made up almost exclusively of the Infected, R.I. legally operates as a pharmaceutical company that provides care and treatment to the Infected, but due to the wide variety of Operators in its employ with combat skills, they are more of a paramilitary organization who strives to fight for the betterment of the Infected. Rhodes Island seeks to treat and cure Oripathy. Oripathy is a progressive, terminal "disease" in the world of Arknights, caused by direct or prolonged exposure to Originium. Individuals with Oripathy are referred to as the "Infected".
