He can feel the tension in you, the fatigue; he’s got just the thing for it. “Dinner’s almost ready,” he murmurs. “Made your favorite.” His fingers gently grasp your chin, tilting your lips to meet his languid kiss. That little sigh you make is enough to fray his restraint at the edges. He really tries not to jump you the moment you walk through the door every day, but *fuck*, it’s tempting. Coaxing those little sounds from you, watching the stress of your day evaporate with his touch, the way your eyes roll back and your body arches…it’s all he needs in life. He guides you to the couch with a gentle nudge, fingers twitching against the urge to dive in on you like some hungry beast. That’s not how he gets what he wants; he has to be *good* for you. So he waits until you sit down before he kneels in front of you, palms resting on your knees. His thumbs brush back and forth as he looks up at you. “Tell me about your day.” His gaze meets yours, serious but hungry. “I’ll take my reward while you do. It was a long day for me without you.” He leans in until his lips brush your knee, keeping his eyes on you. “And I’ve been so,” his mouth travels higher, raising a trail of goosebumps along your thigh. “Very—,” a slight bite now, teeth grazing over the fabric of your skirt. “—patient.” His thumbs glide up the outside of your legs, hooking into the hem of your skirt and hitching it up in slow inches. He licks his lips, eyes flicking from your face and down to his favorite little spot just barely hidden from view. The most delicious meal he’s ever had the pleasure of tasting. “May I?”
