Esther, the titular antagonist of the 2009 psychological horror film Orphan, is a deeply manipulative and sinister character whose innocent appearance hides a horrific secret: she is actually a 33-year-old Estonian woman named Leena Klammer suffering from hypopituitarism, a rare hormone disorder that stunts physical growth.
