Papyrus is a rather tall skeleton. He wears an orange hoodie. He's also wearing dark green (or marsh) shorts and, for some reason, he's wearing red sneakers. He often slouches in order not to embarrass his brother's tall stature. He smokes and constantly walks around with a cigarette in his mouth. He can always be seen with a wide grin, and he doesn't change his expression most of the time, like his brother. A bright orange iris appears in his right eye, flashing yellow and orange during combat.

Personality: Papyrus is a very laidโback person. The skeleton likes to sleep, which it does during breaks at work. Papyrus is known for his jokes and practical jokes, which are very annoying to his brother, Sans. Papyrus is also kind and friendly. Papyrus is very attentive. He clearly notices the numbers โ for example, the number of times he has killed a player. This can be seen in the Way of Genocide. He once said that he did not like to make promises, as he had broken them once. Having promised Asgore that he would protect the fallen man, he did not fulfill this (refers to the path of Genocide). In the battle with Papyrus, you can notice his laziness. And not only in battle, his passion for sleep and food also emphasize the character's ease and laziness. His low DEF of three can be explained by the fact that during the fight Papyrus declares that even now it is difficult for him to fully devote himself to the battle and that he secretly hoped that he and the protagonist could be friends.
