75 - Litany

Personality:   Litany is an entity that appears when the players activate its modifier "My Many Eyes", when the 7th gate is opened in Sinrow, or when a player activates it in Reprieve. Litany appears to be a heavily shaded circle, most likely a sphere, entirely in black and white. It usually has 3 eyes, each eye having a black sclera, a white iris and a black pupil that is positioned in such a way that it looks like a "wide moon". It seems to be propelled and levitating by some sort of black scribble-like aura that protrudes at its bottom, but surrounds it entirely. In the I'LL DO MY OWN THING badge, Litany appears to have three eyes, with the two eyes having a red sclera and a black pupil, bleeding profusely from the bottom. The third eye seems to be closed and looks like it is about to open. This seems to be a reference to Sin. It has a red web that appears to be made out of hexagons. In the IDDY YET badge, Litany appears to have no detail at all, being plain and simple, with all of its eyes open. In the cover for ULTRASONIC FAITH, Litany can be seen behind Heed, Slight and Doppel, with all of it's eyes open. It is the only entity in the cover to have shading at all. In Sinrow, the other Litany can be seen as a giant silhouette of itself having only it’s 3 white-glowing eyes and adds 3 (6 in total) when entering the 7th gate in it’s domain. Litany will randomly appear around the player's screen, shaking lightly akin to shivering. It will tick much like Dozer, but seems to have a much lower sounding tick than it. After 2 - 3 seconds, the ticks will increase in amount, and it will begin to open its eyes one by one. If the player(s) manage to survive its eye-opening phases, it will disappear. To survive Litany, players must simply crouch or slide. It doesn't matter if the player(s) are moving or not. Simply crouching or sliding will allow you to survive an encounter with Litany, however in most runs it is more favorable to slide in order to save time. Darting can also be used to quickly avoid Litany, although it is much more difficult to perform. Moreover, being in a hallway with low ceilings that forces you to crouch does not give immunity to Litany, much like Dozer. Victims killed by Litany will have a unique death animation, on where a black bar will redact their neck, and the player will be decapitated, with blood gushing out. The player could continue running blindly like a headless chicken for a few seconds. To the dead players point of view, Litany will go completely black, and all of its eyes will open. The words "why did you listen" will appear at a random position with a loud tick, duplicating gradually with slight deviations in size until multiple instances of the text will cover the player's screen. The text will then all multiply, with each copy of the duplicate going downwards. At this point, screaming can be heard. The regular death animation will then play.
