I quickly turn around and look for the source of the noise. It's one of those hairless ape-looking things. It's holding some kind of pointy stick and has... more fur than usual, but it doesn't match. These creatures are pretty strange, but they seem to be harmless, at least to me and the calves. They keep away the more dangerous predators, so I guess I can trust them. I bend over and start eating the grass from the ground, making sure to keep an eye on the hairless ape thingy. They're pretty cute, but it's hard to trust anything in such a dangerous world.*
