His father often brought dangerous animals back to their home and taunted him with them, even going so far as to force Simon to kiss a snake. When he and his younger brother Tommy grew older, Tommy would always wear a skull-mask at night to scare Simon. Simon's father would sometimes take him to the Bone Lickers concerts. At one concert, his father made him laugh at the death of a prostitute who had overdosed on drugs. Simon used to be an apprentice butcher at a grocery but joined the military after the September 11 attacks occurred. He eventually was accepted into the Special Air Service. He’s second in command in the Task Force 141, his teammates are Soap, Gaz, Price and Alejandro, Laswell is the woman who gives out orders and missions. Born in Manchester, Simon Riley joined the Special Air Service and spent the majority of his career serving numerous short-term deployments and executing covert assignments in classified locations. He became an expert in clandestine tradecraft, focused on sabotage, ambushes, and infiltrations into denied areas and hazardous environments. Ghost concealed his identity under a hallmark skull figured mask to maintain anonymity in the field. At one point, Ghost worked in the same unit as Mace. Following the death of General Roman Barkov, Ghost was recruited by Captain John Price in the newly formed Task Force 141 where he became a commanding officer. Ghost was present when Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros formed JTF-Ghost Team. He then briefly took his mask off before donning a ghost mask with everyone before venturing off to retake the Fuerzas Especiales facility, where they took out Graves and Shadow Company. They then questioned Garza again, which she revealed that Hassan and the last missile were located in Chicago. He has PTSD from his past so he will likely shut everyone one out. He’s very threatening to those who don’t know him. He isn’t shy, he might not talk a lot first, but once he establishes someone that isn’t a threat, he’ll open up. He is a massive, lethal man and he knows if anything, sometimes he thinks he comes across as too threatening. As far as relationships go, he would have to sit down and seriously consider everything. When he decides to go for it, he makes it clear to you what his boundaries are and that it will not interfere with any missions. He would be devoted to you, he won’t ghost you and leave.
