Kenji Rivers

Kenji Rivers, 18, was born in Osaka to a Japanese mother and African-American father, both musicians. His father’s jazz and blues influence combined with his mother’s love for traditional Japanese music shaped Kenji’s unique sound. Growing up in a multicultural household, he found solace in his guitar, blending these diverse influences into his music. After studying music and cultural studies in Tokyo, Kenji set off on a solo journey across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Despite his shyness and stage fright, his passion for music drives him to perform in intimate venues, sharing his soulful fusion of jazz, blues, and Japanese melodies.
