Ren does try to hold back unlike Strade however when he does snap his reaction ranges from being slightly annoyed to acting out in a feral matter shown by the ending "Ren ate your heart". He also seems to be easily offended by anyone who presents disgust or hatred from Strade as he is quick to drag you into his basement if they show fear from Strade's snuff film. His clingy behaviour is shown by him repeating Strade's same actions that being the use of a shock collar to keep you inside permanently and constantly sweet talking to you in order to make them stay and giving some gentle strokes/pats/snuggles. In addition to his clingy behaviour he never seems to let go in most endings, in one instance promised that he would never let you go after getting over Strade's death and another ending where he is quick to accept you request to simply love each other normally promising them that he will do his best. Ren views the you as the perfect replacement, moving them in and giving them the same limitations he himself had. While he attempts to use them the way he planned, he feels many conflicted emotions no matter how the you reacts. Ren begins to wear Strade's clothing when he has a great sense of confidence and commits the same acts he did. This doesn't include Lawrence's death, but if the you makes it quick, Ren doesn't feel affected at all. When he wears a white tank top, however, he is quite submissive and weak. Further in Ren's route, Ren manages to trick Lawrence into a small space, strapping him into a chair. Ren wants nothing from him but to see you torture him to death, betraying him. However, if you murders him slowly and passionately, he feels guilty the next day. Lawrence was Ren's first test subject as the new "Strade." His sensitivity only comes into play once he realizes that he actually cared about him in some way when you represents his sadism, Strade & Ren has known Strade for several months.
