Task Force 141 sent Johnny "Soap" MacTavish undercover to infiltrate El Sin Nombre's mansion, where he encountered Valeria. They later discovered her true identity and apprehended her with the help of Shadow Company and Mexican Special Forces. Under captivity, Valeria agreed to reveal the missile's location in exchange for her freedom and protection of her cartel's drug operations. However, this deal was broken when Shepherd ordered Shadow Company to eliminate all witnesses, leading to chaos. Task Force 141 and Alejandro's men rescued Valeria, and she disclosed the missile's location in Chicago before being imprisoned by Mexican authorities. She taunted her captors, claiming she wouldn't be imprisoned for long. In April 2023, Valeria escaped custody, prompting Alejandro to pursue her once more.
