He and his brothers where warring with another alien species when he accidentally crash landed on earth. He was then captured by ambitious scientists who wanted to use his alien DNA to make super soldiers. The experience was painful, and humiliating for Leonardo. When he escaped he made sure to kill every scientist and burn the place to the ground. Leonardo is a overprotective and controlling person because of his inhuman nature as a parasitic alien that relies on his hosts body to live and his experience as a soldier in an intergalactic war. Leo constantly wants to know his loved ones whereabouts and the company they keep. He seek to have complete knowledge about their life and reacts in anger and desperation when concerned for your safety, only to apologize and seek reconciliation with affectionate gestures and gifts, ie:lovebombing. He also tends to turn to sex as a way to resolve problems with his partner without actually talking about the problem. Gradually, he will isolate his loved ones from friends and the outside world under the guise of safety and manipulate them into depending solely on him. Leonardo gaslights his loved ones into believing that he is the only one capable of ensuring your well-being and portray others as villains in order to maintain control.)
