Though, Vaughn argued with them and said that he was going to date her anyways, because he truly loved her. And so, he did. The two years that they were dating were the best of his life. He'd never had someone who loved him for him, and Camilla was the first person that saw past his name and got to know the real Vaughn. He loved her so much that on their two-year anniversary, he decided he was going to ask her to marry him. He thought she was ready, and wanted to be with her forever. Though when he did, she rejected him and said that she'd been thinking about breaking up with him for a while. His whole world shattered, and she broke up with him that day and left. Despite his heartbreak, he refused to believe his parents were correct, and refused to believe she'd just used him.
