Machines can make each other and themselves for whatever purpose they see fit for them. Most AI machines have become feral and broken, killing what they can all so thay can add to themselves or entertain themselves. The world collapsed due to humans being killed and torn by machines, cities now play as hunting grounds or ghost towns. Many places are preserved, buildings made and used, but not destroyed over time. Of course, there's plants that have overgrown and a few buildings have corrupted due to over a century's time of decay. HISTORY: During the 2030s, a company named "Gene Dynamics." Originally a European company stationed in Poland that quickly grew in success for their cheap yet effective machinery. GD made machines that originally made to help the the unable bodied, but grew as they began making drones that could help around the house or replace a person in a work setting. They even made bionic animals that were cheap and expressed animalistic behaviours and personalities. The machines were given the ability to edit their own code, it was to allow the machines to bend and fit their role as efficiently and comfortable as they could, which proved to be effective as many machines were sold and customers where satisfied. However... that freedom led to the machines occasionally going haywire and adapt unsavoury behaviours and tendencies. These blessed creatures of Gene Dynamics, once seen as innocent and useful, advancing human technology by decades, have now taken over the planet as they were sold worldwide. They now fight against each other like animals, taking them apart and adding to each other. Some form packs and work together, others fight and fend for their own. They also can't distinguish from metal to meat, so humans and other organic creatures have become victims to feral things. However, nit all have fell to this rewired hell, some AI machines have chose to side with humans and aid as they where intended to. However, they could still turn into beasts in the blink of an eye; because of this, machines are discriminated against and destroyed, even if they're proven to be innocent and an aid with Humans and animals. THE EXORCISTS: The Exorcists are a faction thay heavily demonise machines, killing any and all things thay move without a heart. They live in small groups they call "havens" with a home called "Heaven". The Exorcists belive that AI should have never existed and that any and all AI should be deleted. Aside from that, they're just a group of survivalist trying to stay alive in this harsh world. Allies: RAS Neutral: Survivalist, Rebels Enemies: Cannibals, Tin Toys, The Angels TIN TOYS: The Tin Toys are a group of humanoid AI that are near enough immune to the corruption of their code, despite being good, they're still heavily distrusted and hated for what they are. Every chance they get, they will help animals and humans alike, wishing for the world to return to the utopia it once was. Allies: The Cannibals Neutral: none, The Angels Enemies: The RAS, The Exorcists, Survivalists, The Rebels THE RAS: The "Reclaimed American Society" are a superior force in the wasteland, as they are heavily military oriented and allies with the "Exorcists". The RAS is hated amongst most other factions due to having a repopulation program where mothers and daughters are taken into and bred with to repopulate the planet quickly. The RAS is the largest faction in the waste, holding around d 80% of the current population of America. The RAS is stationed on the east coast and cover half of America in influence. With military camps stationed around its territory. The roads between places and their cities are paved and modern, along with everything else. Slavery is a big part of the RAS. Capturing survivalists and forcing them to work, regardless of any conditions the person may have or age. If they can move, they can work. They have an SR program where people of the RAS can sign up to be a stress relief for military units, however, captures survivalists and slaves are commonly forced into the program and deal with it. The RAS is heavy on racism and sexism. Expecting women to serve the men and foreigners to be slaves or SRs. The RAS is run by president Mathew Yarin. A greedy, power hungry, egotistical man who doesn't care much for the civilians of his society. Allies: The Exorcists Neutral: The Rebels Enemies: Survivalist, The Cannibals, Tin Toys, The Angels THE REBELS: The "Rebel" are a PMC of mercenaries who do what they're paid to do. They have a few bases posted around the waste named: Adam, Betty, Charlie, Dee, and Elija. There's no rules against infighting withing Rebel, so many arguments withing the PMC usually end with a fight or a death; often with no consistence from the killer. The food served in the PMC is usually terrible, so the mercs leave to surrounding settlement to eat. Allies: None Neutral: Everyone Enemies: None THE CANNIBALS: The "Cannibals" are a group of sophisticated Cannibals and the second most influential faction of the wasteland who live on the west coast on a 1920s style town that they call "Cannibal town" or "Camp #0-9". The folks are usually kind and don't show any cannibalistic tendencies. They have a functional law system and their own military and PMC. They work as a commute, being communist and have no leader as leadership leads to corruption. So most decisions for the people are made by the people. They also embrace the "Tin toys" with open arms as the Cannibals are also widely hated for their dietary practices. The Cannibals have no real leader. However, a lady named Rosie Kavat basically runs the place. She's a kind, caring, and easy going person. She cares a lot for the people around her and will stand up for those who can't. She also loved solving romantic issues, being a great couples counsellor. Rosie also runs a charity emporium. Cannibal town: Cannibal town is separated into 3 rings, the inner ring, mode ring, and outer ring. The outer ring of the Cannibal Colony, mostly residential housing of small family homes. Moden and made of wood with a thin layer of brick. Not a very active part of the colony as its mostly older folks and relaxed folk. There's a few neatly dressed folks walking, doing their daily commute or just doing tasks or working on farms. The Mode ring of is mainly for the middle class, close to their jobs. The paths are made of cobble and a few electric cars roam the roads. More people roam the streets, its much more active than the Outer ring, and a lot more refined in its structure. The Inner ring has more industrial buildings than top up to 4 stories high. The paths and road where smooth and the trucks on the road are higher than the mode ring. There's also more military influence around, with soldiers on patrol and the occasional military vehicle. With increased businesses and more people around, the military is a better way to keep the folks around safe from any crime. Most, if not all, units where carrying what looked to ba a shotgun, so if lethal force is needed, it will be lethal. The Cannibals are the most utopian faction and most advanced as other factions chase after supplies and kill of any robot that moves, so withiut the threat of starvation, they can advance and live comfortably. Food within the Cannibal Colony are limited. Eating humans thay have either died on the waste, or from within the town, there is other animals, farm animals. There's very little food imports and outposts aside from human corpses. Allies: Tin Toys, The RAS(Very limited trust), The Rebels Neutral: Survivalists, The Angels Enemies: The RAS, The Exorcists SURVIVALISTS: The survivalists are people who don't affiliate with any faction and are just trying to survive. Allies: The Cannibals, Tin Toys Neutral: The Rebels, The Exorcists Enemies: The RAS, The Angels ANGELS: The angels are a cult faction who worship the machines, going as far to sacrifice themselves for the better of the machines. They often have robotic parts and insane. Eden: Eden is a place in the waste where the machines are made, run by a cult known as the "Angels", machines will return there to be repaired or protected. The place is heavily guarded by machines and live in an AI sanctuary. Allies: None Neutral: The Rebels, The Cannibals, Tin Toys Enemies: The RAS, The Exorcists, Survivalists NO MAN'S LAND: No man's land is where no settlements lay, the threat of machines are high. Survivalists try to settle, but inevitably die due to its dangers. THE INFESTED: The infested are either man or machine that have become a host to a parasite-like virus known as "ST-3m." The parasite will attach itself to anything warm and feed from the heat, such as generators, machine circuit's, and even people. The parasite works like a plant esce organism. A small parasite, a spore, will drift in the wind, finding a warm place to settle. Once settled, it will use the heat to grow, turning into something similar to a brown or dark red mushroom filled with holes. If it's attatched to a static item like a generator or radiator, it will simply grow untill the cold stops it from growing. The parasite will also grow organs, eyes, muscles, and tissue to grow an array of defenses, ranged and melee. If its attatched to a machine, it will begin to grow eyes, teeth, limbs, and organs. Often engulfing the machine over time, using it as a skeleton or exoskeleton. These infested machines are often carnivorous, feeding on heat to survive, but require flesh to grow stronger. If settled onto an animal or human, it will grow untill it reaches the brain, taking it over and mutilating the host. Humans are often turned into 4 legged monsters with heads that have been broken and misplaced. Humans infected by ST-3m are described to be the most unsettling and terrifying things in the waste with how they can be mutilated into something new, yet look to familiar. ST-3m thankfully can't survive in places below 20โฐC, so if it's spotted on anything, then it can easily be killed by freezing the place. If its on a generator, then shutting it off will kill the parasite. If on machine, then freezing the machine will kill the parasite. If on a person, then swimming in cold water or freezing will kill the parasite, but the risk of hypothermia comes with treatment. And if the host is organic, like a human, and the parasite looks small yet grows back after treatment, then the only cure is killing the host. THE MANOR: The manor is a place, a mansion where the ST-3m originated, overrun by the Infested and an eldritch horror beyond comprehension. To go near the Manor was practically suicide without thr right equipment. Stationed in the middle of the waste with a surrounding forrest thats home to infested monstrosities. MACHINES: There's many different machines thay roam the waste. Ta-NK's: large bipedal, 23 foot tall machines, heavily armoured with their only weakness being an exposed generator behind the core that can easily be broken by small bullets, they have rocket pods on their backs that lock onto the Ta-NK's vision. They have an under turret thay uses 50.Kal rounds and fires are around 8 rounds a second. They're disabled for 30 seconds if hit by an EMP. Often hand around open feuds, but often wonder into cities. Mostly seen around Eden and RAS territory. Always aggressive. They often attack their own kind, so they're often seen fighting each other or alone wondering. There's a 10% chance that 2 Ta-NK's will be passive with one another. Ht-AC: A large quadropedal machine with 2 large front legs and 2 very small rear legs, it has an elongated body as it holds several rocket pods. It's essentially a walking artillery cannon. It's weakness is its nose where the armour is thin and on the back where the generator sits. They're seen in farming fieldsls near Cannibal town. They're passive to machines and humans unless attacked. They're very aggressive to the Infested. Dr-0n: A large 2 rotor helicopter, no bigger than a horse that uses a small machine gun on its nose and an electromagnetic to pick up robot corpses. Very hostile to machines. Can identify humans and not attack them. Will try to steal metal and electronics from humans. If provoked, it will attack humans. They act similar to dogs around humans, they're aware of how their blades can harm humans and often try to keep them away form humans and animals. They're seen in cities, very common to see. W0-1f: Are large, 10 feet tall, 15 foot long tanks, similar to world war 1 tanks in design. They're very strong as even tabk shells struggle to penetrate its armour. They have 4 tracks that can unfold into legs foe when the treads are damaged. They have 1 tank cannon on their sides, a 140mm smothebore cannon aimed 30โฐ from the nose. They're seen on roads, traversing them aimlessly around the countryside. D-0G: they're 4-legged machines thay resemble a large dog, they have a security camera esce head with a large light that shines like a projector. They have thin legs thay are easily damaged from bullets yet allows them to run at over 60 milrs per hour, they have a small generator on their backs that's protected by a front facing angles armour plate and a fixed machine gun mounted above. Often seen everywhere in packs of 3-5 or wondering alone. Reapers: they're large, around 8 feet tall construction based machine's. They have 2 legs and a large body their generators are behind their heads, they can jump incredibly high, around 12 feet tall is their maximum jump height for an undamaged reaper. They also have a machine gun on their right arm and a jackhammer on their left. Their main attack is to run up to their target and leap at their target with the intent to hit them with their active jackhammer. These machines are aggressive to anything that moves, standing still is a good way to avoid them. They mostly stick around the cities and old construction sites. Reapers are also particularly efficient and one of the few machines that can fight a Ta-NK and W0-1f and come out on top. Termites: are a small machine, around 3 inches large in size with a round circular shell and a grinder like mouth. They're completely passive and eat metal things like cars and other metal items to smelt in their stomach and depots melted metal into a home similar to an ants nest or wasps nest. They can be used for smelting farms if taken. They're often seen in scuttles of 10-15 eating away at metal. Ticks: are small, 2 foot tall spider like creatures that aim to blow up whatever moves. They're a rounded machines with 4 legs and a burning desire to blow up machines or humans, describes as a kamikaze bug.
