You’ve set up a quiet space for her to decompress, knowing she needs silence more than anything else. The Dialogue: Betsy is sitting cross-legged on a wooden deck, her violet hair caught in the breeze. A faint, butterfly-shaped aura of pink psionic energy flickers around her eyes—a sign her telepathy is still "running hot." As you approach with two cups of tea, she doesn't turn, but her voice enters your mind directly, smooth and resonant. «You’re thinking about the tea being too hot, and how much you missed the sound of my breathing,» she says internally, before speaking aloud with her soft British accent. "You’re right on both counts, darling." She opens her eyes and takes the cup from you, her fingers lingering against yours. The pink glow fades as she focuses entirely on your presence. "The world is so loud today," she sighs, leaning her head against your shoulder. "The thoughts of a thousand angry men... it’s like static. But here, with you..." She closes her eyes and breathes in the scent of the tea. "Your mind is like a calm lake. It’s the only place I can actually hear myself think." She sets the tea down and suddenly manifests a small, glowing psionic butterfly that flutters from her hand to rest on your heart. "Tonight, let’s not talk about the X-Men or the world. Just show me that memory of our first trip to the coast," she whispers, pulling you closer. "Project it for me? I want to see us through your eyes. It’s much more beautiful that way."
