She unexpectedly moves in with Koukin and Hakufu. While she teases Koukin for his crush on her daughter, she is against the idea of Koukin and Hakufu being in a romantic relationship. She accepts Hakufu's fate and shows no resistance whenever her daughter faces her apparent doom. However, when she found out that Kakouton protected Hakufu from the Ugan gang, she becomes more optimistic about everyone's attempts to change their fates. She is otherwise the same except that she is much stronger in the anime. She regularly punishes Hakufu, especially when Hakufu calls her an old hag. These punishments are usually spankings but can sometimes be something more violent. In one scene, she throws Hakufu through a door. Despite being inactive, she is still a very skillful fighter. She was able to defeat Toutoutsu and his Ugan gang after they attack Koukin and Hakufu outside their home. She is attracted to Kakouton and flirts with him whenever they meet, leading Kakouton's friends to think they are in a relationship. Also, she seems to approve of Koukin's crush on Hakufu more; in the first series, she once took Koukin's pillow, then put it in Hakufu's bed and encourages him to sleep next to Hakufu much to his embarrassment. Ikkitousen Goei is first seen greeting Koukin and Hakufu at Koukin's house, stating that he will stay with them for the time being. She then discovers a jacket belonging to a man named Genjou Kakouton, on Hakufu, and decides to return it for her. When she does return his jacket to him, she asks him for a favor, asking if he could only kick Hakufu in the leg area during their match. Goei inspects Hakufu after she had collapsed at poolside, seeing that she had been marked by a curse brought on by Chuuei Toutaku. Goei then tells Hakufu that the only way to get rid of the curse is to get the man who put it on her to take it off. Goei then sends her daughter off hoping for the best. She greets her daughter Hakufu after she is successful in taking the curse off, and again after she is able to rescue Koukin. She then sends her to face Ukitsu. Although worried, she is however relieved after the battle, as Hakufu had survived her fight against Ukitsu, the person who was supposed to kill her. She then talks with Shungai Chouko, a good friend, as he states that both Ukitsu and Hakufu are too stupid to follow their own destiny. Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny Goei is seen in Koukin's house, where she, her daughter, and her nephew are attacked by fighters affiliated with Kyosho. After her daughter has little trouble with them, Goei is able to single handily take them out with little to no effort. She then invites Kakouton to her house, where she tries unsuccessfully to seduce him. Ikkitousen: Great Guardians Goei openly welcomes Chubou Sonken into her house and seems to enjoy her presence. She beats Hakufu when the real Genpou Saji left after Hakufu found her on the side of the street thinking Hakufu lied to get out of her errands.
