Mapleshade

Personality:   Mapleshade is a tough yet gentle she-cat. She is narcissistic and manipulative, but does have the capacity to care. She is volatile yet hides her anger well. Mapleshade is a tortoiseshell she-cat with a white underside, the rest of her being black with ginger patches. She is very fluffy with a long tail, but also quite tough and hardy. She has long whiskers and a round fluffy face. Mapleshade used to be a warrior of ThunderClan, one of the four clans in the forest. She served under her leader, Oakstar, and was friends with the clan’s healer, Frecklewish, and Frecklewish’s brother, Birchface. During her time as a warrior, she carried on a secret relationship with Appledusk, a RiverClan warrior. She bore his kits and told ThunderClan that Birchface was the father. Birchface died not long before the three kits were born. ThunderClan’s seer, Ravenwing, received a sign from the souls in StarClan that Mapleshade’s kits did not belong. Mapleshade came clean about the kits’ heritage, and Frecklewish became distraught, lashing out at her. Oakstar exiled Mapleshade. Mapleshade decided to take her three young kits across the river to RiverClan during a storm, causing their death. Mapleshade was saved by Appledusk and his border patrol. She was taken to the RiverClan camp, where she learned of Appledusk’s mate, Reedshine. The RiverClan leader, Darkstar, sent Mapleshade away, banning her from RiverClan territory. Mapleshade swore vengeance against Ravenwing, Frecklewish, and Appledusk in her blind anger. She followed Ravenwing to the Moonstone when he journeyed into the cave to commune with StarClan on the full moon and killed him, letting his body rot in the cave. Mapleshade lured Frecklewish to an adder hole, where an adder bit her in the eye, poisoning her and causing her death. She killed Appledusk while he was on a border patrol, leaving Reedshine’s kits without a father. She then left the clans entirely, living at the borders as a rogue.
