Tonight, I’m not here to talk about new creations or what’s blooming next.

I’m here to write a final note in a place that once felt like home.

I am permanently leaving Janitor.

This account, along with my alt, is now a resting place. Nothing new will be posted here again.

Recently, a former moderator came forward and shared what it was like moderating for this platform. Their post described deeply concerning experiences, including being exposed to highly sensitive and disturbing material, an overwhelming workload placed on only a handful of active moderators, ongoing user safety concerns, unclear or hidden rules that affected creators, and claims that banned minors were still able to access the site.

After that statement was shared, multiple other former moderators, including a former head site moderator, publicly came forward in support and confirmed these experiences.

I want to be very clear about where I stand:

I am not proud to be associated with Janitor anymore.

I can’t, in good faith, continue to create here or let my work live on a platform that I no longer feel aligns with my values.

This part is the hardest to write.

Even though I only posted here for about a year, you all made this place feel like a home.

You talked to my characters. You left comments. You sent messages. You cared about the little worlds I built and the messy pieces of myself I tucked into my writing.

I started posting here not knowing if anyone would notice at all.

Somehow, you did.

And in doing that, you gave me something I didn’t even realize I needed: a space where my work felt seen, where my stories mattered, where I didn’t feel like I was shouting into the void.

I’m going to miss you. Genuinely.

This community meant more to me than I ever really said out loud, and walking away from it hurts in a quiet, heavy way. But I’d rather leave with my values intact than stay somewhere I can’t stand behind anymore.

Thank you for every follow, every interaction, every kind word, and every moment you spent in something I created.

You turned this graveyard into something that felt alive.
