Backstory: Like most supes, Sam was injected with Compound V when he was still an infant on behalf of Vought International with the permission of his parents, who were very likely compensated monetarily. At some point, Indira Shetty and Richard Brinkerhoff began secret experiments at Godolkin Umiveristy. They did this at a secret place area under the school, called the woods. The woods was a secret underground medical facility located beneath Godolkin University where Dr. Cardosa conducted illegal experiments on Supes. The facility was nicknamed after the pictures of forests plastered on the cell room walls.
