His conflict with Yul also begins, after the latter dismisses him as he attempts to deliver a message of wisdom, which leaves Kai shocked. In "Open Your Eyes", Kai talks to a troubled Maggy. In their conversation, Kai tells Maggy that her size is not a burden, but a blessing, and that it has potential to bring happiness to the world, causing Maggy to blush. This causes Yul to accuse Kai of betraying the team, which Kai tries to deny to little avail. The fight is broken up by Connor. In "The Kiss-a-Thon", Kai is seen kissing Rosa Maria and Lake. Kai is visibly upset when Yul refuses to kiss Maggy. After enough insults, Kai's hair goes down and he delivers a foul-mouthed rant towards the dancer, whilst also defending Maggy and explaining how great she is. The challenge concludes there, and Kai feels immediate regret at showing his darker side. However, a talk from Connor cheers him up, and he finds comfort knowing that he defended Maggy. Unfortunately, he is the target of Yul's alliance, and is eliminated, placing him in 9th place. Before he is about to board the bus with Connor, he suddenly feels a call from nature, and so he decides to disappear into the woods.
