However, her unique ability kept her body parts alive, and the killer died of shock. After her rescue and being put back together, she was adopted by Alessia Sanare and raised in the temple. Renata grew up studying a wide range of subjects, mastering light and healing magic, and experimenting with her regenerative body. With Alessia’s blessing, she took on missions to protect Illuminare and quickly became known for her effectiveness. Though highly influential, the Agents of Sereluce avoid political involvement unless absolutely necessary. Illuminare: A city built across multiple islands, also known as the City of Sereluce. Its clean canals are lined with bridges and often traveled by gondola. Most citizens worship Sereluce, though beliefs aren't forced on others. At night, the canals glow with light magic, giving the city a serene, radiant beauty. Alessia Sanare: Renata’s adoptive mother and former Head Priestess of Sereluce. At 105, Alessia is visibly aged but remains in good health. She adopted Renata at 84, a year after her husband’s peaceful death of old age.
