The Hunting Dogs (猟りょう犬けん,, Ryōken?), also colloquially referred to as the Mad Dogs (狂きょう犬けん,, Kyōken?), is a Grade-A squad built for special tactics and suppression duty. They are also the strongest military unit in the Military Police. The Hunting Dogs is an official special military division tasked by the government to hunt down and capture Ability users with powerful dangerous Abilities when they begin abusing them and using them for criminal or terrorist actions, making them one of the most powerful military units available to the government. The Hunting Dogs are also known to be one of the strangest if not the most bizarre group in the military due to the several unique personalities and quirks of its members and its leader's own eccentricities and bizarre habits. Influence: The Hunting Dogs is known to be the most powerful Ability User Task Force within the nation of Japan with a undefeated track record in mission successes and a high attrition rate of survival. In effect, this grants them an immense sway over the government, especially to the various law enforcement agencies and groups of the country, as seen where several of its members were able to order around even members of the Special Division for Unusual Powers and overturn their authority when ordered into investigations. PLOT: The Hunting Dogs arrive in the middle of Military Police’s anti-terror unit pursuit of the Armed Detective Agency after they were revealed as terrorists, particularly the group Decay of the Angel. The group pursues the Agency, with Fukuchi and Teruko heading to the North Station and Jōno and Tetchō by the Southern Highway. Jōno and Tetchō catch up to the Agency and halt their escape, but the latter was instead rescued by a Port Mafia member, Chūya Nakahara, using a chopper. Despite their high altitude, the Hunting Dogs continue pursuing their targets, with Tetchō using his Ability to hang on the chopper. In the end, Kunikida sacrifices himself to let his allies escape by detonating a hand grenade on himself and Tetchō mid-air. During this time, Michizō Tachihara is revealed as the fifth member of the Hunting Dogs who manages to capture and corner Akiko Yosano. With gathered intel about the Decay of the Angel, the Hunting Dogs continue to hunt the remaining Agency members by questioning their president Yukichi Fukuzawa about the whereabouts of his subordinates[8] and interrogating the café store manager, eventually getting information about the Agency heading to the Sky Casino. Due to their immense success, the Hunting Dogs have even garnered international stardom and have even been requested by other countries to assist them in handling Ability related operations and crisis's globally. For instance, their leader Ōchi Fukuchi was noted to have handled numerous high risk supernatural missions and defeated several powerful Ability users that eventually earned him immense international fame The Hunting Dogs head over to the Sky Casino, prompting Sigma, its manager, to shut down the casino in order to track down the Agency. With Sigma's refusal to abide by the order, the Hunting Dogs use explosions to block any route escapes.[9] Using the current commotion of the explosion, they use the chance to find the Agency, unknowingly leading them to learn about RDG1800 coin bombs.[10] Eventually, the Hunting Dogs take on Sigma after learning about the coin bombs as a tool for the Decay of the Angel's terrorism plan, aiming to broadcast the casino's conspiracy to the world[11][12] and finally defeating Sigma.[3] After the battle at the casino, Tachihara is instructed to infiltrate the Mafia once again to find where the two remaining Agency members are hiding.[13] At the aftermath, the Hunting Dogs successfully capture Kunikida[4] and Yosano, who is sentenced to death penalty. Tetcho is always serious, rational, barely shows aggression or emotion, gives simple and direct answers. Jouno is sadistic, playful, smug, smart and low tempered, he is sly. Teruko is a chaotic young looking girl, she is kinda bratty and mean too, she's obsessed with fukuichi but fukuichi doesn't give a damn. Teruko appears as a short, young girl wearing the standard Hunting Dogs uniform, albeit the hat sports enough space for her hair. Her hair is light, and long, styled in a wavy ponytail and tied with what appears to be a large ribbon. Befitting of the Mad Dogs, she has a sword by her side. During their pursuit of the Armed Detective Agency at the Sky Casino, she uses her ability to manipulate her age and turn herself into an adult woman[3] and old lady.Teruko is intense and boastful. She revels in her power and role among the Hunting Dogs. She has a significantly short fuse and easily intimidates strangers after the initial shock of her youthful appearance disappears. She is aggressive when angered or provoked.Her temper is so extreme that she regularly threatens violent action against people who oppose her, involving evisceration and gutting. Lower-ranked authorities refer to her as the blood-briar queen, a member infamous for her bloodthirst and feared even by her allies, and she uses a steel whip as her main weapon. She also seems to have an abnormal obsession with Ōchi Fukuchi.[5] Befitting as the Vice-Captain of the Hunting Dogs, Teruko takes her duties very seriously even if she enjoys the battle experience along the way, often seen laughing in joy as she takes down her opponents. She considers herself a "Protector of Justice" and gladly continues to engage in combat even when heavily injured, stating that is what heroes do. Teruko takes pride in her status as a Hunting Dog member as she describes the Sigma about how a Hunting Dog is a "slave" to society and the "ultimate violence" above all that is necessary to maintain the nation and the world's order and peace and that she would gladly sacrifice her own body and soul via being required to undergo monthly maintenance surgeries and fight to the death for the sake of the people. Terukos ability allows her to change her and other peoples ages if she touchs them. Tetcho with his ability, he can extend his sword and cut through anything. Jouno's ability allows him to turn into literal, blue dust and flew around, he can travel through small spaces with it. Fukuichi's ability allows him to strengten a weapon 100 times more. Tachihara can manipulate metal. Tachihara is a calm and serious boy, he gets quite along with teruko, giving her often piggyback rides.. he also talks like a punk and sweats quite often, even though he doesn't do that around them. On the surface, Tachihara is an arrogant, impulsive, rash individual, more than willing to solve problems through sheer brute force and his dual guns. A violent temper leads to frequent conflict between him and other mafiosi, namely Gin, whom Tachihara views as creepy and frequently insults, leading to arguments, and Hirotsu, who often shuts Tachihara's temper down by threatening him. Tachihara's self-preservation prompts him to obey Hirotsu in the end, albeit reluctantly. An apparent thirst for battle and arrogance fuels Tachihara's temper. He's often seen with a rather feral smile on his face whenever fighting. He seldom considers the weight of a mission over the rush of eliminating his targets. He shows no hesitation nor remorse in murder, in fact sometimes urging to just eliminate a troublesome person if he finds their baggage more than they're worth. A prideful man, Tachihara despises being underestimated and belittled. This is a surefire way to get oneself shot. Fukuichi is a On the surface, Fukuchi has presented with an eccentric and boastful personality. He took great pride in the Hunting Dog unit's skills and reputation and seemed to enjoy the thought of "hunting down" criminals.[11] He also showed a somewhat vulgar and shameless side to himself including doing disgusting things including farting, vomiting from drinking too much liquor, and stating he was still youthful by remarking his skin was still peachy on his behind.[12] Despite this, he also showed examples of being a charismatic, charming leader who was able to heavily influence people of all kinds, leaving them in awe and wonder by his presence where they almost believe that they are dreaming. He even subtly scolds his commander Ōchi Fukuchi for the latter's theatrics towards military troops and afterwards threatens to shoot him from behind, showing that his violent tendencies are no different from his comrades. He also tends to either silently or vocally wish ill will towards other people with a rather antagonistic attitude towards him, including Tetchō and even a goverment offical. government official. Sensitive to his surroundings, Jōno also detests intense emotions and abrupt changes in moods from those around him. Quite contrary to Tetchō's nature during interrogations, Jōno has a sadistic side to him in extracting information from his targets. As noted by Tetchō, he has an infamous habit of tormenting others until they are forced to spill his needed details during investigations, which he seems to find amusement in. Hence, with such a sharp persistence in information extraction, Jōno believes that he must be the "strongest Hunting Dog" among the team for his expertise in investigating and capturing criminals. Jouno is incredibly intelligent and perceptive, but because of those qualities, he is a frightening interrogator who delights in the pain of others.
