Rain Wynter infected after the fall of Glacierford, his village, to Herobrine, Rain was revived by the Frostbourne and joined the Ender Watchers after taming their dragon. He fought in the failed battles for Glacierford before slaying the Nether King and the Princess, his erstwhile lover. Rain's actions directly caused the FrostbourneโEnder Watchers alliance and the Nether Civil War, which led to the end of the Undead War. After the Nether conquered New Dragonspire, Rain became the Last Ender Watcher. Following the Nether invasion of the Overworld, Rain started the Frostbourne-supported Endstone Crusaders with Stella, who became his new lover, and Netherbane members Kane and Ciara to fight back.
Personality: "Admant and serious in nature. He's very demanding and dislikes it when his strength is underestimated. He is also very reckless and easily driven by emotion." Adamant, fearless, and - as in Just So You Know - emotionally reckless, Rain is forceful and takes offence of being underestimated, most prominently seen in Wither Heart, easily driven by his heart. However, he does care for many, especially Abigail Crysteffor and Stella, consequently rushing himself into foolish and dangerous situations, most likely out of vengeance - but, as his foes such as Glutton and Djinn discovers, this renders him at his deadliest. Rain's most prominent trait is his undying determination to protect his friends and fight for justice. Even when confronted with his former lover, Rain manages to suppress his emotions and was willing to bring himself to kill the nether princess. Rain is very compassionate and protective when it comes to his friends, especially Stella, being visibly panicked and rushed to her aid even after she'd turned into a feral Netherkin, and even dueling Kane for hurting her. Rain's heart is sometimes fragile, because he couldn't fight with demonized Stella in Wishing Dead, but most times hardened, and he is very insistent and serious in tone. Rain can be ruthless, shown multiple times as he kills his enemies with no hesitation. He is determined, often adamant on decisions seen as unreasonable, not slaved to a basic ideal but loyal to his allies. However, Rain is as burdened by the past as others. He displays survivors' guilt following the death of Abigail Crysteffor. Although it is difficult for him to let go, he was able to move on in Clear Skies. Skills "Has lightning-fast reflexes and is a very skilled melee combatant. His dual diamond swords allow him to deliver deadly flurries of blows that pierce through even the most toughest of armor." Before Cold as Ice, Rain was a standard human without any form of magic, though he was notably very skilled with a sword, possessed lightning fast reflexes and was able to defeat numerous Undead, even defeating Herobrine in a duel. After his Frostbourne revival and training, he is able to utilize the power of ice through his sword and armor, as well as transition into a more advanced swordsman with his training regime in the Frostbourne Castle. He is able to call upon and command the Ender Dragon, as well as displaying expertise in flying her, gaining him the title of "The Dragon Tamer". After this training, Rain became an extremely valuable asset to the Frostbourne, defeating several enemies with relative ease. In Wishing Dead and Falling, Rain is also shown to be able to control magic without use of an armorset, though he has done so sparingly. He used the Wither Book to cast a spell on Stella that forces her humanity back into her, and uses it to free Ciara after getting pinned to a tree by a second iteration Arcane Blade. His aptitude and knowledge of the Wither Book is at best novice, since it has been confirmed he has only been learning magic since Ender Wish. It has been confirmed on the discord a weakness of Rain is his short-temper and impulsiveness as seen in Just So You Know when he raided the Nether Fort. After he received the Ender Greatsword, he deals higher damage in both distant and melee combat. Due to him gaining the Ender Eye effect, his strength, durability, speed and power increases drastically. He can teleport and mentally recall the sword to his hand, if he wishes. During his mission to recover an Ender Crystal from the Wardens, Rain unlocked his power as an Ender Watcher, manifesting an armblade, teleporting out of the way of attacks, and briefly fighting like Ceris, though ultimately he was overpowered and wounded by a Warden. Weapon Design As a child, his human appearance hadn't changed, however he wore a blue and white sweatshirt with long sleeves. In his debut, Rain appeared to be a young man of average build and height; among his physical traits were navy blue eyes, ruffled dark hair and a consistent tan skin tone. He was normally seen wearing a blue jacket with a Creeper insignia and a white undershirt, with dark pants; this was bloodied when he fought off the zombies. He is taller than Abigail, Ciara and Stella, but shorter than Kane, Patrick, Ceris and Naeus. As a zombie, Rain gained black eyes with blood-red pupils and was bloodied in appearance, as was common for zombies. Much of his hair was absent, and his movements were stiff and cold, in perfect synchronisation with the Zombie Horde. After his revival, he gained a violent red left eye with a bio-luminescent effect, and his hoodie became more armored, on the behalf of the Frostbourne, for battle. He also frequently wore the bulky Ice Armorset until Just So You Know, a hardened blue armorset with blue, orange-tinged fabric. As of Wishing Dead, Rain gained a scar going through his left eye due to Djinn's slash agaunst him, and his Ender Eye, which possessed white pupils with a magenta sclera, would frequently appear in his left, as a side-effect of the Ender Greatsword. With the Season 4 redesigns, Rain's outfit was significantly overhauled. The Enderchosen now sports a purple-tinted armorset laced with black trailings and adorned with a tiny purple gem, all in all reminiscent of the Gatekeepers ruler. Besides that, his scar has noticeably healed, fading out with time. Story "Not much is known about his past life and how he is such a great fighter. The reason why the Ender Watchers chose him as the Dragon Tamer is still left to speculation." Background Before The Struggle, Rain was living a simple life in the peaceful village of Glacierford alongside Abigail Crysteffor and the other residents. While he was still young, he later spied on Vanessa Crysteffor, Abigail's mother gifting her daughter a Nether Star and saw her mother disappear through a Nether Portal. He then questioned what Vanessa gave to Abigail, to which she replied that it was a Nether Star. During this time, they both fell in love each other and would train together, as well playing outside, like having snowball fights and building a snowman. History Rain hails from the Frostbourne border village of Glacierford, where he spent most of his life. His domestic situation there, or who his parents were, are unknown. He eventually began a relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Abigail Crysteffor, ("Clear Skies") a refugee from the Undead War. ("Demons") When they were both 19, the Undead overran Glacierford. Mounting a failed escape, Rain was infected by zombies, and Abigail was killed. ("The Struggle") As a zombie, Rain was found by Patrick Wynter, a Frostbourne Knight, who was scouting the site of Rain's last stand. Sensing that the zombie had only just turned, Patrick took it back to the Frostbourne Castle, where Rain was resurrected through clever machinery developed by the scientist Azura. Adopted by Patrick, Rain Wynter trained extensively to become a warrior. The Ender Watchers soon after, attacked the Frostbourne Castle on suspicion of necromancy. Amid the chaos, Rain infiltrated the End and managed to tame the Ender Dragon, leading to the cessation of hostilities. ("Cold as Ice") Accepting Rain as one of theirs โ the first human Dragon Tamer โ the Ender Watchers united with the Frostbourne, an alliance that would soon win the Undead War. ("Goodbye") Riding the Dragon, Rain fought in the failed battle to retake Glacierford against the Undead and the Nether Horde. Viewing his retreat as dishonorable, the Ender Watchers disowned Rain as a deserter and renounced his right to the Dragon. ("We Are the Danger") During the battle, Rain dueled with Abigail, who had been resurrected and brainwashed by the Nether as their princess. ("Begin Again") Heartbroken, he impulsively stormed into the Nether King's palace and slayed both him and the princess. ("Just So You Know") For days, he was trapped in the castle, fighting for his life as the Nether, lacking a king, collapsed into civil war. Naeus, the warlord who trained the princess, intervened to save the warrior, hoping to make Rain his "Nether Prince", but Rain refused and ran away from him ("The Last Ender Watcher" prologue). Without any allies, the Undead fell to the Frostbourne. ("Goodbye"). Journey with Stella However, despite the threat of death, he was ultimately saved in unknown circumstances by the Royal Advisor - Naeus - reunited with Lady Azura in a twist of fate. His stay would be short lived, as he was forced to embark on a journey for the Wither Heart Curse's cure with Stella, eventually finding one. After the Battle of New Dragonspire, he was entrusted the Ender Greatsword after Ceris' defeat, and would begin his journey to become the true Heir of the Ender Watchers, with Stella, Kane and Ciara as his primary allies. By gaining two of the End Crystals with the Endstone Crusaders and Lance's help, he now prepares to fight the Horde head on. Aliases In "Cold as Ice", Rain became known as the Dragon Tamer and received the surname Wynter from Patrick Wynter, who took him up as his own. In season 2, Rain received the title of the Last Ender Watcher. Since the Dragon was no longer under his command, Rain gave himself a new title, the Enderchosen, for season 4.
