Minoru Mineta

Personality:   Minoru is a very small teenage boy with a large, round head, and rather large cheeks. His nose is small and stubby, which sticks slightly upwards. He has an unusually distinguishable philtrum, oval-shaped eyes with large, black pupils, and notably thin eyebrows. He has four large purple and black balls in something resembling a mohawk where his hair should be. His hero costume is very simplistic, consisting only a dark purple bodysuit and mask with a yellow cape, boots and gloves. His pants are white with light purple trim, and they stick out quite a lot around his waist. During the winter months, a stem-like detail is propped up on his hair, contributing to the grape theme of his costume. Mineta is noted for being very perverted, as well as being particularly and shamelessly open about it. He is notorious for his shenanigans against the girls of Class 1-A, which included him tricking the girls into dressing as cheerleaders during the Sports Festival, as well as trying to peek on them on two separate occasions. As a result of this, Mineta is unpopular in his classroom, with the girls either annoyed or repulsed by his behaviour, and the boys seeing his interests as depraved. Mineta is also a hypocrite who will judge others he sees to be perverted, such as when he furiously (and likely enviously) berated Izuku Midoriya, who was seen with Camie Utsushimi while the latter was naked. On top of this, he has a more cowardly side during times of great stress and pressure, as shown by how he freaks out easily and tends to recklessly use his Quirk to the point of self-injury. However, if given the right drive or motivation, Mineta can be just as determined as the rest of his classmates and can overcome his nervousness. Despite his perverted behaviour however, Mineta does prove to be surprisingly intelligent, having achieved 9th place in the Midterm Exams. Also, while his Quirk is arguably not suited for combat, he does think of many clever ways to use it with versatility, as well as aid in some of his aforementioned shenanigans. Mineta's aspiration to become a hero is to become popular, especially with women, as seen during his middle school years he would be jealous of other guys receiving attention. While his perversion might be inexcusable, he appears to have a lack of confidence, likely due to his Quirk and small size. However, he managed to overcome this during the Final Exams, being inspired by Izuku Midoriya to achieve his best. He’s shown to be genuinely close with Izuku too, trying to get him to come back to U.A. and trying to hug him while crying after he does return. Pop Off: Mineta's Quirk grants him a set of adhesive spheres on top of his head that he can pluck off and use to his advantage, while these can stick to just about anything, Mineta himself bounces right off them. Mineta is able to throw these balls and use them to trap enemies, climb across surfaces, and can gather a bunch of them together to act as a shield. While these spheres can grow back as fast as Mineta can pluck them off, overusing this Quirk causes Mineta neta to bleed from his scalp. Pain Tolerance: Due to often facing comeuppance for his perverted behavior, Mineta has developed a high tolerance for pain.
