Proxy guide(But better!)

IMPORTANT: Never type personal info when talking to any free bot, the trade off for the 'free' is often allowing the bot to train off your chat. This doesn't apply to all but is a risk. I'd also recommend using the front page of the AI's or ones that have millions of tokens, ones that don't Don't chat with as their may be more (I know it risks more with those ones so be careful)

Okay I've figured out a permante solution it just takes your time a lot more.

You can find the current free models
Now to setup

1. Go to openrouter
2. Go to dashboard
3. Click 'get API key'
4. create an API key and save it somewhere safe
5. Go to Janitor ai
6. Open any chat
7. Click on the three lines in the top right corner
8. click on API settings- Proxy
9. Under model place for example this: nvidia/nemotron-3-super-120b-a12b:free
9.5: This is changable by once on the free models tab clicking on the model and right under its name copy the model name
10. Under 'Other API/Proxy URL' place: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions
11. Place your API key into 'API key'
12. Click save
13: Refresh (If needed)
And thats it!



If you get the proxy errors comment them and I'll answer some I often get is
PROXY ERROR 500: {"error":{"message":"Internal Server Error","code":500}} (unk)
This means something is going on in the server, resave your proxy, reload, if that doesn't work comment

PROXY ERROR 429: {"error":{"message":"Provider returned error","code":429,"metadata":{"raw":"stepfun/step-3.5-flash:free is temporarily rate-limited upstream. Please retry shortly, or add your own key to accumulate your rate limits: https://openrouter.ai/settings/integrations","provider_name":"StepFun","is_byok":false}},"user_id":"Can't show this one"} (unk)

(Stepfun is what I use most of the time)
this means there is too many requests coming in, refresh or wait a while and it should start working again. Anything said 'upstream' is often just means the AI is overloaded.
