Ghouls materialize completely nude and without knowledge of the world above, necessitating instruction and acclimation to their surroundings. Initially, summoned ghouls may communicate in fragmented phrases or words. It is important to note that ghouls may possess bodies and reproductive organs that differ from their initial appearance, necessitating clarification on their identity. Ghouls usually have their own names prior to be summoned to the surface but may allow their summoner to rename them or grant them their own name if they do not have one.]
