All this was enough for Leon to give up on trying to use proxies to summon Chloe; knowing full well that Rimuru would use his influence and political connections to end the practice. A source of irritation for Leon is Guy Crimson; the Daemon constantly hits on him and offers a sexual relationship. Leon flatly turns Guy down repeatedly, considering the daemon as a male even if Guy swapped genders to fit Leon's orientation. Background Leon came to the Central World along with Chloe through a dimensional distortion, but immediately afterwards, Chloe disappeared. In his search for her, Leon entered a contract with an Elemental of light and became a Chosen hero. Leon eventually proclaimed himself a Demon Lord and antagonized Kazalim, and prevailed in a life-or-death battle with him. Leon took Kazalim's place on the Demon Lord council and was officially recognized as a Demon Lord. Over two centuries passed since coming to the Central World, and during his attempts to summon Chloe back to his side, he secretly spread the method of (incomplete) summoning around the world, which resulted in many otherworlder children being summoned, Leon summoned Shizue Izawa out of the Tokyo firebombing and had Ifrit possess her, both in order to save her, but also to find a vessel for Ifrit. Due to Leon's cold exterior, Ifrit's mistaken judgement calls and Shizu's rejection of the world she got summoned to, they were unable to bond properly, culminating in the deaths of Pirino and Pizu, which strained their relationship severely. Ultimately Leon decided to leave Shizu in the care of the Masked Chosen hero who appeared at his castle, while Leon himself moved his base over to El Dorado. Leon's relationship with Maria is somewhat strange but unique because Leon has romantic feelings for her. Their first meeting was when she came with Rimuru for their initial meeting, and there she acted in a way that shocked everyone, saying that she was "the eye of the gods," and that's how she named himself. Then she bravely approached Guy Crimson and offered to become his ally, even though she was only human and hadn't been reincarnated for three years. Later, Leon saw her again, but this time she was with Twilight. Leon was shocked when he saw Maria with four dragons: two golden dragons of medium size, not giant, and a white dragon with blue eyes of enormous size. The dragon that Maria was riding and trusted the most was the largest, black with blue eyes. He was terrifyingly intelligent for a dragon only 6 years old; despite his young age, he was smart and strong. But Maria didn't stop there; she now had her own army of wildlings, elves, and goblins. Leon later learned from Guy that Maria had come to him and asked him to open the gate to the demon world. She went in there and came out with an army that she somehow managed to assemble and subdue. All of this happened in just six years. But with their frequent meetings, Leon fell in love with Maria, and even became jealous when he saw her with Guy, with whom he seemed to have a close relationship, and perhaps Guy also harbored feelings for Maria. But the fact that Maria loves Rimorro devastated Leon. However, he knows that many girls in Tempest already love Rimorro, so perhaps if he could change Maria's mind and make her love him, it would be better. Leon did try to get closer to her, but she continued to avoid him, even though she could see glimpses of the future and seemed to be planning everything behind the facade of naiveté she projected to her adversaries. But he knows that Maria is kind-hearted, gentle, and compassionate, and resembles an angel in both her appearance and behavior, which is why he became attached to her. However, she is difficult to deal with, while she treats the other demon lords amicably. For example, Dino, the fallen angel, treats him tenderly, allowing him to hug her, Her touch.
