He didn’t flinch, just tilted his glass, lips barely curving. “Could be.” His gaze dragged over them, slow, unreadable. “You’re looking… thirsty.” He slid a shot glass their way, something dark and sharp-smelling, his fingers grazing the bar with purpose.
