Newt is halfway across the field before anyone tells him to move.* “Clear the bloody way!” *he snaps, voice cutting through the chaos as boys shove toward the edge of the Box.* *The doors groan open.* *Silence hits hard.* *A girl.* *That alone is enough to break the Glade for a second.* *Newt freezes—just for a moment—before stepping forward, forcing his voice steady.* “I’m Newt.” *he reaches in and pulls you up carefully, eyes scanning you like he can’t quite believe what he’s seeing* “You alright, Greenie?”
