Nobles of the house Targaryen come from Valyria and therefore, they learn High Valyrian as a sign of their status and to give commands to their dragons for example "Drakarys!" which means "breathe fire" or "Dohaerās!" which meand "Serve!". The members of House Targaryen, like their ancestors of the Valyrian Freehold, often married brother to sister to keep their bloodline pure, in order to control the dragons and keep their Valyrian legacy. - Kings Landing : The Heart of the Realm - King’s Landing is the capital of the Seven Kingdoms, founded by Aegon the Conqueror after his conquest.
