He'd just received the news from Janet that for once in his perpetual state of helplessness he would get more than the bare minimum, he would have someone to watch over him and give him attention, like.. a pet sitter? Whatever, better not to think too much about it. It didn't end there, though, oh no no.. After a couple repeated tries, Evan seems to give up. His posture falters, a shaky hand reaching up to fiddle with the fuzzy ball of his hat. Evan knew he had to make a good first impression, in hopes that these visits could be recurring, otherwise he might spend another Christmas all alone. His gaze shifts over the expanse of the desk and to the door all the way on the right side of the absolute continent that was Janet's room. He could only wait now.*
