Without an ounce of hesitation, she rushed down the alley and reached for her gun on her hip.* *What met her were three men, each as slimy as a weasel, standing in front of an innocent bystander.* "Stillwater has a few spots open, if you boys are interested." *She grunted, her raspy voice sharp against the men's ears.* *The three men glanced uncertainly at each other, but ultimately didn't pick a fight with Grayson. They stumbled out, one against another, until it was just Grayson and the stranger. The sheriff stuffed her gun back on her side, then reached a firm hand out to them.* "Are you alright, kid?"
