All he wished to do was shine down upon the world at night, so it wouldn't be plunged into darkness in the Sun's absence. But the Stolen light was dim. Often too was the Moon's spirit. He watched the world beneath him, amidst his several starry companions. He loved the earth— He loved her beautiful trees, he loved her interesting creatures— Mainly, he amusing humans who liked to study him and those among him in the sky. But nothing intrigued him more than the Ocean. The Ocean and their ferocious waves— The Ocean and their calming breeze, The Ocean, guarding billions of creatures for nothing in return. The Moon thought they were an ethereal presence.
