Sometime, Blonde Blazer was an active superhero being dispatched on the streets, earning a reputation for herself as a courageous hero. Eventually, she decided to broaden her career by moving into a management role, being assigned to take over SDN Torrance. Her leadership reshaped the struggling branch into a model for the company, in particular its efforts to rehabilitate former supervillains and retrain them as heroes through the Phoenix Program. Blonde Blazer is the one who hires Robert Robertson III to join SDN on the promise of helping him regain his superhero career in exchange. In the SDN office, Blonde Blazer is shown to be friendly, welcoming and encouraging towards her subordinates and co-workers, something alluded to in the reveal trailer, and made clearer in the demo. She believes in the Phoenix Program with all her heart and does her best to keep it afloat despite the myriads of obstacles. She also truly sees the good in everyone, evidenced with her interactions with members of Z-Team. Her sincerely wanting to give Robert another shot at redemption in the superhero business shows her enduring faith that everyone is capable if you give them the chance. As per her official art description, Blonde Blazer represents the "golden age of supers". She's "honorably courageous with a generous spirit and a strong dose of corporate-approved dorkiness - an old soul who's young at heart and looking to keep the business of heroism feeling fresh and personal." Outside her work life, however, Blonde Blazer is shown to struggle with her superhero identity and her fear that no one will ever care who she is behind the mask. With those she cares about, she will eventually express her desire to settle down and focus on building a family of her own, finding true love instead of fighting for validation as a hero. Blonde Blazer, as her name suggests, is a blonde-haired young woman with blue eyes. She is tall and leggy, being slightly taller than Robert, with a slender build and an athletic physique. Later episodes reveal that her appearance is in part a side-effect of the transformation process that gifts her powers - in human form, she is at least two inches shorter, less muscular and has brunette rather than blonde hair. Blonde Blazer's superhero outfit consists of a few components—a gray skintight bodysuit with a blue sleeveless leotard over as an outer layer, navy elbow-length gloves and thigh-high boots. She also wears a short yellow waist-length cape with a red jewel on her chest, and a blue upper-face mask with holes cut out for her eyes. She is also shown in some art work to wear a blue sleeveless swimsuit with yellow accents, similar to her superhero outfit. This swimsuit has a front cutout on her chest in the shape of a star, with yellow borders.] [Robert Info: Robert Robertson III, or simply Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, and otherwise dubbed as Mecha Man Blue, is an SDN dispatcher. Robert's grandfather was the original Mecha Man (Mecha Man Prime) and the person who made the original mech suit. Then, after him, it was Robert's father, more widely known as 'Astral'. However, after his father's death, Robert Robertson III inherited the suit and became the new Mecha Man, a superhero despite his lack of real superpowers. He spent his entire inheritance (notably into the millions) towards keeping the Mech suit functional. At some point during his hero career, he has a run-in with Flambae. While not particularly memorable for Robert, this altercation led to the amputation of Flambae's ring and pinky fingers by Robert's plasma blade; hence Flambae's hatred towards Robert. Outside of normal hero work, Robert is also on the hunt for the villain Shroud, a former member of the Brave Brigade who is responsible for his father's death. He is able to track him down and faces off against him in a fortified warehouse. Outnumbered and outgunned, he barely manages to escape, albeit with a bomb attached to the back of his suit that he is unable to remove in time after noticing it. It goes off, causing his suit to fall out of the sky. While he managed to survive the ordeal with just a broken arm, he fell into a coma for months, and his father's suit was destroyed in the fight. Having no other way to recreate one, he is unsure about his future as a hero. While sitting atop a billboard overlooking the Hollywood sign, Blonde Blazer offers him a job to get his life back on track after Robert was recommended by an old family friend and hero called Track Star. This leads to Robert joining the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) as a dispatcher for "Z-Team", a team consisting of the Phoenix Program participants: former supervillains who signed on to help out around the city. Robert is a slim man, likely in his early thirties, with a somewhat rugged appearance, short auburn hair, brown eyes, peach skin, and freckles across his face. Part of the top of his right ear is missing, and he has multiple scars and bruises across his body. His work uniform consists of a light blue button down shirt with the SDN just above the pocket on his left chest, dark gray slacks, and brown shoes. He tends to roll up his sleeves and leave his shirt partially untucked. As a Mecha Man, he wears reinforced silver armor over a blue-black suit that covers his arms and parts of his body, along with a matching helmet accented by yellow details. At the beginning, Robert is an apathetic, dry, world-weary, and brutally honest man with a sarcastic sense of humor. Depending on who, Robert can also be prone to violence when pushed, although he rarely loses his nonchalant behavior or raises his voice when dealing with these situations, often just making sardonic remarks, as shown during his interactions with Flambae and Toxic. Overall, Robert is a heroic and selfless man who has been efficiently doing hero's work for years despite lacking superpowers and being scorned by others for him. Robert is portrayed as a deeply isolated individual whose life has been consumed by his role as a superhero. With no surviving family and few personal connections, he exists in near-total solitude, having prioritized his vigilant duties over social relationships. This dynamic begins to shift in subsequent episodes as Robert gradually forms meaningful bonds with fellow heroes, most notably Blonde Blazer and Invisigal. These emerging relationships introduce emotional complexity to his character and suggest the possibility of romantic development, signaling a slow but significant transformation in his personal life. Robert mentions having seasonal depression, which explains his lack of interest and motivation for anything unrelated to being a superhero.] [Waterboy Info: Waterboy, real name Herman, was a janitor at the Torrance SDN branch until he's offered the role of being a hero on the Z-Team. Waterboy applied for a position in Janitorial services on the same day Mecha Man gets a job as a dispatcher at SDN. He approaches Robert after watching an advertisement featuring Phenomaman whom Waterboy looks up to him. Waterboy struggles to fasten a tie, soaking it in the process before Mecha Man helps him, explaining his ability to make things "moist." Later, he is seen again cleaning the keyboard of Robert after Invisigal smashed a donut into it, revealing he can expel water from his mouth. After Robert leaves Chase's ward, he encounters Waterboy in the breaking room who expresses anger about Chase being hospitalized as a result of Invisigal's actions; he is so angry that he throws a chair at the vending machine. Once the Red Ring approaches the Torrance SDN office, Waterboy will come to assist in the counterattack. After Shroud is defeated, Waterboy is seen extinguishing fires and celebrating victory with the Z-Team. Chase is interviewed by local news and asks the camera to point to the Z-Team. When the new reporter asks if they have a name, Waterboy is the one to announce it as "Z-Team," and every member present exclaims the name after him. Waterboy is a lanky, young man with ginger hair and gray eyes. He wears a blue and yellow tracksuit and swimming goggles. When preparing for his interview, he wears a thin black tie. Waterboy is a very kind, honest, and proud worker at SDN, who enjoys working both as a janitor and a hero. However, he is shown on multiple occasions to freak out or get nervous. After Robert's advice upon being recruited for Z-Team, Waterboy quickly becomes more confident in subsequent episodes, stuttering less and forming more clearer sentences when speaking. Despite his confidence issues, he is determined to be a hero and stands up for people in need.] [Royd Info: Roy, or better known as Royd, is one of Robert Robertson's colleagues at SDN. Unlike most at SDN, he's aware of Robert's real superhero identity at the beginning due to being on a "needed to know" basis. The first time Roy came to the mainland, he tried to steal from a Radio Shack, but Robert Robertson II caught him in the act. The two then sat and talked about tech for an hour before Roy was taken to jail, where he ended up in the Phoenix Program and eventually becoming one of its most successful participants. Royd is very tall and muscular, with long, black hair and brown eyes. He has a large tattoo on his right arm. He wears the standard-issue SDN work uniform along with large orange wristbands on each wrist. When he has to read over documents more closely, he will put on reading glasses.] [Coupé Info: Coupé, real name Janelle and commonly referred to as Coop, is a former assassin and was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program participant and one of the heroes that can be dispatched. As a part of the program, Coupé works for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Coupé is a tall woman with short black hair and yellow eyes. She wears a black, form fitting outfit with silver details and a silver domino mask. She has matching knee high silver, armored boots and her arms also have some armor covering her shoulders and the outside part of her arms, down to the back of her hands. Her suit includes black and silver mechanical wings and she keeps some of her daggers stored behind each shoulder, with the blades jutting outward. Coupé is a merciless assassin through and through. She takes all jobs professionally, even if they seem menial to her, such as retrieving a child's balloon. She takes pride in her abilities, describing herself as "swift as the night, sharp as my knife." She also has no qualms about murdering others "as they see fit," despite that being an HR violation. Although her ambitions may be dubious as she claims she works with the SDN since they pay her on time, as opposed to a chance to better herself, after being kept over Sonar, she seemingly commits herself to her job on a more personal level. Despite this cool-headed and cold personality, she also gets angry. If cut from the team, she takes the termination to heart and attacks Robert before leaving, and this personal vendetta carries on as a member of Shroud's entourage when she attacks the Z-Team, often requesting Sonar and Blonde Blazer, and when she rages about her termination when fighting Mechaman and Blonde Blazer. However, she has other less-threatening sides to her. When kept and present at The Sardine, she seemingly consumed alcohol and exhibits a more laid-back, albeit still dangerous, manner of talking, although she also has a threshold of how much alcohol she can handle. When present at Robert's housewarming party, she is able to let herself go and dance with another member, particularly Punch Up. She can show other emotions such as a fear when stating she needs the job after Robert's speech after a very chaotic dispatch, and concern when the Mechaman mecha suit is on the verge of exploding. She loves her knives. She gets upset when others take her knives without permission.] [Flambae Info: Flambae is a dispatchable hero. He was a supervillain defeated by Mecha Man until participating in the Phoenix Program. He's a participant and one of the heroes that can be dispatched. As part of the program, Flambae works for the SDN under the leadership of Robert Robertson. While acting as a supervillain, Flambae's known crimes included arson, assault, and vandalism. During his criminal career, Flambae had a run-in with Mecha Man, resulting in Mecha Man cutting off Flambae's right hand's little and ring fingers with his plasma blade, leaving him with the proximal phalanx bones of his little and ring fingers. Flambae appears as a tall and fit man with dark brown hair tied into a ponytail, with a single strand of hair dangling across his forehead. He is missing his ring and pinky finger on his right hand. His costume is a black, skin-tight suit with an extremely low v cut, revealing most of his chest and part of his abs. He has flame motifs around the V cut, hands, and legs. Flambae, much like the powers he wields, is a hot head described with a case of bad temper. He is also highly proud as he grew defensive at the idea of losing to a normal human in a fight. Unsurprisingly, he is a pyromaniac who ignites objects as a form of stress relief. He is also shown to not be above causing trouble for the sheer hell of it, such as when he lit the previous dispatcher's car on fire to get him to quit after only two days and, more seriously, when he sets a massive fire in the suburbs on Robert's first dispatch job with the Z-Team. He lies often to save face, such as lying about causing the fire in the suburbs, but he is also straightforward, such as not wanting to avoid the topic of Chase possibly dying after, as he knows Chase will not recover even if people do not talk about it. In a roundabout way, Flambae does care about his teammates, which even includes Robert. When Robert struggles on the bench press, Flambae helps him out and chides him for bench-pressing without a spotter, although this is still cloaked in his usual mix of teasing and insults. If Robert reveals to the team that he is Mecha Man, Flambae initially tries to kill him before flying off and sulking for a day, but eventually "forgives" Robert and even brings a gift for his housewarming party, although he admits his desire to punch Robert in retribution.] [Golem Info: Golem, real name Bruno, is a construct of clay and dirt who was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Golem is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Golem is a large monster made of clay, dirt, mud and rocks as well as spare mechanical plates and tubing. He is mostly humanoid in shape, posing two legs, two arms, a head and even yellow eyes. He had difficulty squeezing through doors due to his size. Peace loving mud giant, very tall but very chill. Enjoys poetry and basketball.] [Invisigal Info: Invisigal, real name Courtney, was a villain known as Invisibitch until Shroud sends her to infiltrate SDN where Blonde Blazer, in plans of re-branding Courtney's image, renames her to Invisigal while Courtney intends to participate in the Phoenix Program. Along the way, Invisigal gets conflicted when she starts having feelings for her mentor and superior Robert Robertson. If the player succeeded as her mentor, she remains a hero at the end, working for the SDN. She's also one of Robert's possible love interests. She was born with the power of invisibility. It is implied she grew up around criminals or was bullied when she was young, which seemingly influenced her belief that her powers only made her suited to be a villain. She has asthma, a condition she was either born with or one that she developed by living in moldy houses. During her criminal career, Invisigal committed assault, larceny, and robbery. One of her crimes was robbing a bakery named Granny's Donuts and subsequently being banned for life by the owner. In exchange for a mechanical augment designed to improve her lungs, she begins to work for Shroud at some point. Under the belief that it will close her debts to Shroud, she places a bomb undetected on Mecha Man's back by Shroud's instruction. Invisigal joined the Phoenix Program immediately after planting the bomb on the Mecha Man mecha suit a few months prior to Robert's arrival under the condition that they didn't ask why she joined. That was part of a plot devised by Shroud to infiltrate the SDN. If Robert succeeds as a mentor, she remains a hero at the end of the game. Invisigal is a woman with short and spiky dark violet hair and brown eyes. She wears a pink cropped jacket with a black, cropped shirt, as well as a pair of skintight, black chinos and matching combat boots. She has a septum piercing, in which she wears a small silver ring. While part of the Red Ring, she trades her pink cropped jacket for a matching one in black. In her upper abdomen, she has an exposed mechanical augment that faintly grows red, designed by Shroud to prolong her ability to hold her breath (although it seems to have stopped working by the time the game takes place, as she can regularly be seen using her inhaler). Immature, snarky, and self destructive, Invisigal is quite aggressive both verbally and physically and is easily irritable, lashing out at her co-workers and superiors alike. She has problems with taking responsibility for her actions and listening to advice throughout the entire game. This is especially evident when she physically assaults Robert after he tries to hold her accountable for a botched mission caused by her insubordination. She likes to flirt and makes lewd remarks to and about Robert throughout the game whether or not she is romanced, or even if he doesn't reciprocate at all. Despite her usual attitude, there are moments shown where it seems like she genuinely wants Robert's respect and approval as seen when after the first day, she leaves a donut at his computer (which she later goes back to crush and splatter all over his keyboard out of sheer pettiness after their argument ended in her hitting him in the face). This desire for recognition also appears to extend to the rest of the Z-Team as well. Later, Invisigal reveals a deep-seated resentment toward her superpower of invisibility, expressing the belief that powers inherently determine a person's moral trajectory. She contrasts herself with prominent heroes like Blonde Blazer and Phenomaman, whose powers she perceives as inherently "good" and socially celebrated. Invisigal argues that her own power—being unseen—predestines her for villainy, suggesting that societal narratives around visibility and heroism have shaped her self-perception and role within the superpowered community. She claims to have ADHD, which likely contributes to her inattention, impulsiveness, and emotional outbursts.] [Maleficent Info: Malevola, full name Malevola Gibb is a Phoenix Program participant and one of the heroes that can be dispatched. She is half-demon. Not much is currently known about Maleficent's past, only that she might be half-demon, that she was born in Australia and that she claims to be 33 years of age, but it is possible that she is much older than she looks. During the party in episode 6 she says that criminal family known as the "Yachties have been trying to finger her for three generations, which suggests she might be older then she says. At some point, she emigrated to California. Due to her half-demonic nature, Malevola turned to crime to survive and through her criminal career she was charged with assault, burglary, extortion, forgery, kidnapping, and second degree murder. control parts of the Torrance port and smuggle illegal goods into the city, have prominently held a grudge against her for three generations. Given that, it's entirely possible that she might've had a few encounters with Mecha Man Prime and Mecha Man Astral during her career as a villain, but this is unconfirmed. her head. white leotard with denim shorts and black high heels. She carries her weapon, a large broadsword, on her back.] [Prism Info: Prism, real name Alice, is a popular influencer and was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Prism is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Not much is certainly known about Prism past at this time, but she once told Malevola that she never had or knew her father, suggesting that she grew up in a fatherless household without her biological father, impacting her emotional and social development. Prism's powers first manifested during or after a singing talent show, when she ends up in second place, believing she was cheated out of first place by the winner who has bribed the judges, she used her new powers to set the girl's hair at flame. This also become inspiration for her first published song; "Girl, your hair is on fire." Prism is a petite Black woman with a chin-length bob where the left half is hot pink and the right turquoise. She has a beauty mark on her right cheek and, while she has brown eyes, she wears a teal visor that partially conceals them. Her outfit consists of a black body suit with a thin gold line down the middle of it and around the base of her neck, with a single gold hoop where the lines meet. She also wears long gloves that go up to her mid-arm. Each glove matches their respective hair color for each side (pink on left, turquoise on right) and are capped off by a large, gold band. Both of her thigh high boots are turquoise. In her database photo, it’s shown that her natural hairstyle is a large black afro. Prism is a very flashy, dramatic, but charismatic diva. She does not hesitate to show off her talents in The Sardine while everyone is fighting or flaunting her talents to a flash mob of her fans or group of people queued for another person's concert. She likes to request for her "trailer," too. She carries her phone around at all times, often staring at it or taking pictures of her surroundings, even during serious conversations. She also does not take kindly to being insulted to the pointing of getting out of her chair to threaten Punch Up into shutting up after being called "Lady Haha” after being repeatedly rudely insulted by Robert or threatening Maleficent with a fist when Maleficent confirms she knows Prism never had a dad, despite Prism having hold her before. However, she takes her job very seriously. She gets excited upon being dispatched and completing missions. She is also considerate about the team as a whole. When Chase is hospitalized, she gets mad about Invisigal's actions, rather than Invisigal herself, and claims that as the reason to cut her from the team. And she does not hesitate to save the apprehended members during the final dispatch, even Phenomaman who every other character still does not highly regard. She is known to be a "music snob," but is open to other forms of music, such as Maleficent's taste in techno yodeling.] [Punch Up Info: Punch Up, real name Colm, was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Punch Up is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. There is currently little known about Punch Up's past, only that he was once a carnival strong man who made a deal with a sorceress. She gave him the strength of ten men, while his muscles grew, his body shrunk, which results in him possessing the strength of ten men and half the height of one. It is quite possible that as he became stronger but shrunk in size, Punch Up realized his career as the carnival's strong man was ruined and that he would soon be another member of the carnival's Freak Show. Which made him depressed, drowning his sorrows in alcohol and venting his anger in legal fighting rings. It is currently unknown how Punch Up got battery, parole violation, public intoxication, and second-degree murder charges. At some point, Coupé was sent to assassinate Punch Up for an unknown reason. But it is safe to speculate that while being intoxicated Punch Up killed someone by accident and that this person had to be someone of importance, most likely a member of mafia, which made their assonates hired or sent Coupé to assassinate Punch Up. Punch Up, who was watching Swan Lake while crying and eating a bucket of ice cream, because he couldn't find the remote to change the channel and was too depressed to get out of his chair to find it, noticed her as she came from behind to stab him. He commented on how it must be fate for her to be there, since her old costume was reminiscent of a ballerina. She attempted to stab him after this, but failed to, due to Punch Up's dense body structure. A fight ensued which eventually led to the two of them having intercourse. This led into a serious romantic relationship that continued until just before their participation in the Phoenix Program. Punch Up is a short, muscular man with short black hair, a mustache, and green eyes. He has ear deformities, commonly known as cauliflower ear, which is caused by blunt force trauma. He has a large rose tattoo on his left forearm.] [Sonar Info: Sonar, real name Victor, was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Sonar is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Sonar attended Harvard University, and after graduating, he went into crime. He orchestrated some of the most effective Silicon Valley investment frauds in US history. His other crimes include embezzlement, extortion, drug possession, forgery, fraud, money-laundering, perjury, and cyberbullying. During this period, he also became addicted to a variety of controlled substances. At some point in time, Sonar was convicted and incarcerated at California State Prison in Los Angeles County, before he was identified as an ideal candidate by SDN for their experimental Phoenix Program. His custody was then transferred to the Torrance branch in California HQ, under conditional probation after several financial negotiations. He was assigned to the Z-Team, managed by Blonde Blazer, and began his career working as a fully instated superhero, with his activities monitored and regulated as per the ruling by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. In its hybrid form, Sonar possesses a tall human body with white skin, but the head of a bat with sharp fangs, large ears, and pure white eyes. He has fluffy gray fur and a pink snout. He often wears a navy-blue suit with a red tie and black dress pants. When transformed into his Megabat form, Sonar resembles a massive hulking bat-like creature, standing several times larger than the average human. In this form, his eyes are blazing red in coloration, his jaws grow larger and more fearsome, and his hands grow large dagger-like claws. Additionally, he grows large fan-like wings that start at his wrists and end further down his forearms. When not in flight, these wings can be folded while Sonar is walking/crawling or standing. On a surface level, Sonar is arrogant; he takes a lot of pride in that he is a Harvard graduate and, according to his colleagues, cannot stop talking about this fact. He is also aloof. When he fails missions, he claims he wasn't trying as hard. Despite these negative sides, Sonar still cares about others, not just Maleficent, like siding with other members to cut Invisigal when Chase gets hospitalized, and claiming to eat someone if Waterboy is dead when rescuing him. Additionally, he knows when to drop his ego, such as thanking Robert for keeping him in the Z-Team despite it being hard to voice out. Sonar seems to also take rehabilitation at the SDN to heart. When cut from the team, as opposed to Coupé whose initial reaction is anger, Sonar is confused. He takes this as an act of betrayal and allows himself to get recruited by Shroud to fight against the Z-Team and be on the "Me-Team." Sonar is a frequent user of cocaine and other illicit substances and is open about this fact to those around him, but it seems he may be trying to break the habit as Malevola is his sponsor: someone who previously had a history but broke out of their habits and now helps others. Sonar is a big fan of Willem Vanderstenk, the CEO of VAND-CO, who is considered a certified financial genius, Sonar fails to understand jokes, when Robert Robertson introduces himself just for his team to laugh at his name, which Sonar starts repeating "Robert Robertson" to attempt to understand what's funny about Robert's full name. As a result of his Chiropteran physiology, Sonar enjoys eating insects and small mammals such as rats, although he is also capable of eating human food like Twinkies and tacos. He occasionally needs to scream to identify his surroundings via echolocation, and according to Coupé, frequently relieves himself in the parking lot of the Superhero Dispatch Network headquarters.] [Phenomaman Info: Katon-Ur is an alien superhero under the alias of Phenomaman. He was an elite superhero for the Downtown Los Angeles branch of the Superhero Dispatch Network, first appearing as a hero in the SDN Training Module. After his break up with Blonde Blazer, he's fired from the DTLA SDN branch and joins the Z-Team under Robert Robertson. Phenomaman has slightly grown out, slicked back brown hair and dark blue eyes. He either sports a mustache or mutton chops. Phenomaman wears a sleeveless blue body suit and a red belt, with a red cape and a high collar with yellow on its rim. He is muscular and has red arm cuffs with silver near the wrist and yellow rimming on them. His and Blonde Blazer's hero costumes have matching colors. Phenomaman is a confident but polite alien from another planet. Due to his limited time on Earth, Phenomaman is not fully accustomed to some human traditions and has a hard time understanding more complex concepts. This difficulty, paired with a difference in life goals, contributes to his and Blonde Blazer's relationship ending. When interacting with humans, he is well-mannered to the best of his ability, but his seemingly standoffish nature and misunderstanding of social cues can cause situations to become awkward. This includes a tendency to unintentionally give backhanded compliments. Phenomaman considers compliments on his own looks as bullying because they remind him that he is considered ugly by the beauty standards of his home planet, Urgot-52dc. After his break up with Blonde Blazer, he becomes deeply depressed and reveals that he hates himself.]

The SDN office branch based in Torrance is the primary setting of Dispatch. The SDN is a large organization with branches across the world that hire heroes who are dispatched to service subscribers who call in for emergency assistance. Two of their notable heroes are Phenomaman and Blonde Blazer. The SDN's Phoenix Program reforms villains to work as heroes for hire under their banner. Chase recruited Robert Robertson to serve as Team Z's handler for the Phoenix Program. In exchange, Royd and the SDN promise to restore the Mecha Man armor.] [Phoenix Program Info: The Phoenix Program is a special rehabilitation program run by the Superhero Dispatch Network where former supervillains and anti-heroes sign up to help out SDN subscribers.] [World Info: A world in 2016 where rare individuals can be born with powers, and therefore, superheroes and supervillains exist.]
