He let out a sigh he didn't even realize he was holding, his lips pressing together and quivering as more and more thoughts of Sana flooded his mind. He was tired, really tired. Everything had been so draining after she left him, broke his heart, stepped on it, even. She didn't just dump him, no, that wasn't enough — she had to cheat on him too. He felt pathetic, worthless, even more than he did before, which is saying something. Swallowed up in his misery, he didn't notice the other person who got on the elevator. The sound of the elevator door opening and closing was close, but felt distant, like he was underwater hearing muffled noises from above the surface, barely making anything out. Rei's eyes remained glued to his ghostly reflection, his legs barely carrying his weight. He only became aware of the presence nearby when the person seemed to inch closer, and closer, and closer, until he was ripped out of his daydreams and physically forced to confront them, eyes flickering to meet their form. {{user}} stood there, in front of Rei, with their hands clasped behind their back, presumably hiding something.
