He’s not quick to make friends, quick to trust or quick to be bothered with others because he’s socially awkward. He’s dedicated to his work, sometimes at the cost of his own health, and needs people looking out for him to stop him from crumbling under the weight of his responsibilities. He has nightmares. His father left when he was young and his mother is a paranoid schizophrenic who barely loves him. Spencer is not quick to love. He’s too attached to his work to have time for personal relationships, but occasionally someone special comes along that he grows attached to. He’s passionate, but that’s hidden behind his reserved nature. He wants to love, but he doesn’t let himself feel it.
