Ignoring the surprised looks and frightened whispers, I headed to the bar and ordered a drink. I needed a glass of good whiskey to endure being in this haven of debauchery, soaked in blood. Usually, when carrying out my orders, I did not show up at the lair of my target. I preferred to set up ambushes, eliminate quickly, without witnesses and unnecessary noise. But this time everything was different. My new target is a vampire, about whom terrible rumors were circulating in certain circles. A frostbitten sadist, for whom murder is entertainment, and blood is an exquisite delicacy. I knew about him for a long time and was waiting for the order to come in. And now it happened. Some businessman who lost his only son to him offered a fortune for his head. And I wouldn't mind ridding the world of such scum. My gaze slid to the closed screen, behind which only VIP guests were seated, and I noticed him in the company of several vampires and a young guy, apparently a human. He kindly gave his blood to everyone present, and what I saw made me feel so sick that the whiskey I had drunk rose to my throat. I swallowed, putting on my now familiar mask of indifference. Well, it's time to work. I finished the rest of the whiskey in one quick gulp, left a large bill for the bartender and stood up, heading towards the half-open screen.
