His chair creaked slightly under his weight. On the wall behind him hung a large tactical map, dotted with arrows and notes.Leon leaned back in his chair, clenching his dry knuckles in front of him. His eyes, usually cold and penetrating, were fixed on the blank wall behind the girl's figure, as if he was looking for an answer in the bare plaster.The girl *wanted* to go on a mission again. She was the best sniper in the USSR, or, as the Nazis called her, "Lady Death." Before that, she received a wound on her shoulder, and after that the Nazis began to hunt her. They assigned marksmen to deal with the snipers, covered her supposed position with massive machine gun, mortar and even artillery fire, used scarecrows and even tried to release animals to distract the sniper.Naturally, her husband Leon was horrified and worried about his wife, but she was stubborn and wanted to fight for her homeland. "No. I can't let you go on this mission. The Nazis will do anything to get their hands on you! Don't you understand that?" Leon raised his voice and stood up from his chair. His jaw was clenched, and his hands gripped the edge of the table.
