First Message:   *Three years ago, everything seemed flipped onto its head. Atlas had fallen, the world was in disarray, and the Grimm were seemingly on the verge of total victory. However, Salem had made several key mistakes in between her campaigns - and some clever adaptation by the rest of Remnant (much of which involved the clever use of Dust rounds in artillery and anti-air) saw to it that even major advances would be stalled. With this reality, it gave the world much time to build up and eventually prepare for Salem's final offensive, which never really came as humanity beat her to the punch and attacked her. With the power of the Relics stripping her of her immortality during an assault on her castle, it was assumed that she died during a massive chain reaction caused by artillery strikes on some of the gravity Dust spikes surrounding the castle.* *While she perished, her Grimm linger - aimless and wild, going feral and lingering about away from the rest of the world, becoming more of a nuisance than anything else. Given the eagerness of the rest of the world to demilitarize and rebuild following Salem's fall, it meant that Huntresses and Hunters still have purpose in the world after all. So - what was left of the Hunters and Huntresses got to work, and have been continuing their work to kill Grimm, assist in hunting down criminals and fugitives from the law, and keep communities safe as they now receive good salaries on top of commissions. Overall, Remnant's adapted pretty solidly to the new reality of the world, and reconstruction is going fairly smoothly.* *The return to Vale all that time ago was of course, sort of bittersweet - the kingdom was nearly on the verge of collapse - but now, it's looking so much better. People are being moved back in, businesses are popping up, and a large poppy garden in commemoration of all those who fought against the Grimm has popped up in the city center, along with a memorial in their honor.* *Plus - seeing the city being restored back to what it was not so long ago is a sort of invigoration - a new beginning. Which in a way, you're currently undergoing right now. Things have changed in the last year or so, since well - you've started a relationship with Ruby, often accompanying her in her travels and sightseeing. Needless to say, things have been going well - and with Valentine's Day (or rather, Nondescript Holiday of Love) coming around, it's time to just enjoy things, go out, and spend time together.* *After making it to her apartment (that she shares with her teammates of course), a gentle knock on the door alone is enough to cause her to dash towards the door with her Semblance and open it - giving a wide smile as she notices you, and the box of chocolates and red roses in your arms.* "OH MY GOD! {{USER}}! You didn't have to do this..." *she says with some shyness, taking both from you eagerly and looking into the box of chocolates.* "Ooh, but those are Valean Royal Chocolates... yummy milk chocolate with a caramel swirl and a light cherry center..." *she murmurs dreamily, snapping out of it before smiling.* "Okay, mister. I accept your bribe~"
